as soon as people grow tired of fantasy football, the nfl is gonna sink... fast.

....and that's going to happen about......never

I grew tired of FF probably 15 years ago. Didn't even know they still did it.

Gotta agree with JW on that. The MOST popular sport in the United States, and many other countries, isn't going to go away just because of a couple added rules to protect the players.

The NFL rocks! It'll NEVER die! cool

I wonder if all this glass is going to kill a lot of birds that often fly into structures like this. Being this close to the Mississippi flyway, one could envision this could be a real problem.

If that was the case I would be a little more concerned about 50 plus story office buildings down the block.

Well it is a concern. I did work in an all glass 8 story office building and would see dead birds below my window on the roof of a lower structure nearly every morning. Birds see their reflection in the windows and end up in their demise all the time. I have a feeling this stadium design will be really bad. With the Fall games timed to the bird migration, the stadium staff will need to take snow shovels to clean up all the dead birds before the fans arrive.

They will have to light the structure at night so that birds are aware of its presence...using solar power, of course.

Before you laugh at that, there was a bill in the legislature a few years ago carried by a dingbat DFL'r which would require certain structures be properly lit so birds wouldn't crash into them, minus the solar requirement. Only in MN.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
