Not much snow on the lake but the high winds are really affecting the conditions. I made the mistake of drilling a hole outside of my house and the water came gushing up. I spent the rest of the day blocking the house up in 3 inches of water, and nearly falling into the water a couple of times. The muck boots finally couldn't handle it any more and my feet got wet. When I lifted the house for another block in the afternoon the wind started pushing the back end of the house off the blocks so I stopped at one block today. Will have to go up again on Friday to lift it even higher since the water is up to the bottom of the floor. A couple of pickups plowed a road close to my house in the afternoon. When I used this road a couple of hours later it was significantly drifted over. Fortunately my Michelin Cross Climate II tires have excellent traction and I made it through without putting on my tire chains. They are predicting a couple inches of snow on Tuesday with 15-25 mph winds, gusting even higher. This is going to make the drifting even worse. Fishing was quite slow. Caught a handful of 9-11 inch walleyes and one at 16 inches. Good luck fishing, and don't drill holes if surrounded by high snow drifts. -

How did the Eagles put up 55 points?! Wow, what a score fest. Turnovers? if I root for the Chefs they’ll die an agonizing death like Josh Allen not getting a frost down on 4th and 1. lol! But why not watch history in the making as a 3 peat? -

Thinking of getting to Mille Lacs some day this week. Your new house must have been toasty with that heater cooker. I downsized from a Big Buddy to a Buddy in mine. What side of the lake were you on and were you fishing in the mud by shore or out by the flats? -

Went to Mille Lacs with the legend Eyeguy and we got some jumbos. 10 a piece. I picked a few more after the photo of them in the bucket. If you go bring cleats or you will fall. -

Ok ok here the deal !! Friday I went to blue lake and got skunked !!!! I fished all over and only marked 5 fish. I had one light bite and missed. I tried every color jig and plastic nothing. I normally don’t have an issue getting fish there. I did learn a lot. -
