Can you get on Swan Lake by Nicollet with a outboard?

with the number of trucks parked at the acc. I would think u should be fine we been out on middle and there have been outboards out there

Get ready to get ran over by go devils and hyper drives, outboards are running around but I have seen a few guys blowing smoke out of them from clogged water pumps.

don't listen to all the hype about mud motors, i hunt swan about 5 days a week, with a 25 short shaft, and have had very few problems this year. The south part of South bay is chuck full of weeds which makes for a slow go, but other than that i'll blow by any surface drive. shoot em up, gettin should be gettin good

Where can you launch on swan? What are the best spots to hunt?

there is a launch on the north side off cty rd 4(gravel) and one on the south side off hwy14. I tend to stick to nicollet or south bay

I have not hunted it in about 5 years but there were plenty of people running outboards, you have to be logical and not try and run where you can't. I wouldn't do it in the dark the first time. The majority of places I hunted on swan and had good luck were via canoe where I would paddle then drag it across a bog then paddle more. There are places where no motor outboard, longtail or surface drive can't get to, find these places there will be birds but it takes a lot of work
