Hey Sham those are nice looking decoys, would love to add one to my collection sooner or later.

Laska, maybe a large shiner or natural sucker shape and color. Just an idea.

Can't wait to see everyone and get my spear wet.

According to Dixon lakes webpage they are planning to have their rental houses out for this coming weekend.

I looked at the long term forecast and only 4 days were supposed to be above freezing between now and the gtg. Some real cold temps are forecasted a few nights.

I was a little nervous for awhile but it looks like everything is shaping up real nice.

MJ and ArcherySniper, I was wondering what I need to bring for food and supplies to share. Let me know if I should just call one of you guys, I still have both of your phone numbers from last year.

How early is everyone getting there friday?

I should be up late morning. Usually get up there unload and get houses set before dark. I think a few of us even speared Friday afternoon but there seemed to be more goofing off then anything.

You know the stuff, whos the fattest, whos slow at sawing, is BNS going to go in the ditch again, why is Dealer so old, etc......

Looks like I might have to pull my stuff out by hand. I do not have a 4 wheeler or snowmobile. Does not look like it will be safe to drive a truck out there. Any body know how far of a hike it is from the access road to wear the fishing is?

There should be enough people with Wheelers there to hitch a ride with somebody, weren't seems really great about helping people out. Last year we were out in front of where the third river comes into the lake.

Like PGF said hitching a ride isn't a problem at all. I have a 4x8 steel framed sled on skis that can haul any house and gear you can fit on it.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
