Was so sorry to hear about the accident, I hope everything goes well my friend and that you'll be back on the water soon to fish out of that new boat.

Sandra sends her best.

Casey I have never meet you but have enjoyed your posts. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

No need to state the obvious. On a lighter note, if you need someone to check out all your secret spring spots, send me the GPS coordinates and I'll be happy to help out grin

Quick Recovery,

I sent a few dozen to my tournament partner Dave to check out, stuff I found last year with similar fishing conditions. I know you know just about all of them plus another 2 dozen! Does that seat in your boat include a concierge to and from wheelchair?

Completely full service Casey!! Seriously though, is there a time frame on your healing process? I assume that, at some point, you'll be as good as new?

There's lots of people out there interested in your recovery.

It's very uncertain at this time. I'm sure I'll have a timeframe maybe next week?

Casey,

I'm one of many folks pulling for quick, full recovery. We need you out there on the lake.

Thanks RLG, it may be a couple of months until I make it back out to the party. I'll know more in the next two weeks. Had a decent day today.. Hopefully 99 % of them are better then the last. I've had some real difficult ones. Day 9 in the hospital tomorrow.

I was transferred from Duluth to Virginia in patient rehab May 20th, I was released home on the 29th. Spent 19 days in hospitals all together. I am starting to get more and more movement out of my right leg and I have a follow up with my surgeon this week for hip and foot fractures. I've had a few friends call me for fishing tips and I've been able to help them out so that always feels good but it sure as hell isn't the real thing!

Casey,

Do you have someone running your Casey's Crawlers business while you are recovering?

Good to see you are up an recovering. I found the walleyes hiding well fearing your return, and therefore didn't have much luck.

Going to be a while yet, went to the landing yesterday for Take a Kid Fishing breakfast and I can still feel it this morning! Maybe in a couple weeks I can sit in a pontoon on a calm day for a very short while.

Well with some help from Dave and Mike, I made it out fishing in my wheelchair. We went on a calm day and everything went off without a hitch. I only hurt for the next day but it was so worth it! I think it was one of the best days fishing I'll ever have. Here's what a arm length 21 incher looks like....

Sounds like ice fishing is off and rolling.. a friend of mine had four on the ice after an hour fishing in a walk on spot I turned him on to. He reported 5 inches of ice, but just remember, no ice is safe ice and its not the same everywhere... even feet away can mean danger! Ask Cliff, he has been swimming before, no fun! In other news, I saw a picture of a golf cart on Vermilion today as well, LOL whistle!
