I know there probably isnt much fish in the actual creek, but what about where the creek dumps off into the river? anyone ever fish that part? Ive fished the creek a couple times(up by Oak Grove middle school) and caught some small suckers but nothing to serious, just curious about this spot.

The only fish I managed to catch out of the dam in nine mile creek were fingerling sunnies. All caught during the summer. Dunno if they are there during the spring.

Long ago there used to be nice Rainbow Trout in 9-Mile Creek, I used to love hitting the creek with a small Mepps (or later a fly rod) and catching a few fresh rainbow for breakfast.

I've seen Northerns, crappie, and sunfish in the creek here in Bloomington.  Near Moir park.

"Nine Mile Creek.

If you're able to get to where Nine Mile Creek meets the MN River, well ... 5 lb Northern (2), tons of 1lb Largemouth Bass (for some odd reason), large minnows, a few white crappies, a Turkey scared the lights out of me, I saw 3 beavers (1 below my feet it was amazing), a white feathered owl, and u can't forget those huge, aimless carp (lol).

Nobody fishes Nine Mile Creek seriously so the few that do - especially when the water levels rise - get to witness nature at its finest."
