There is a little lake called Gleason on the border of Wayzata and Plymouth. Anyone ever fish it? It is locked by land but you could go off of the luce line if you didn't mind a little walk.

I've thought about it a number of times but I never have. You can see from the exit there at 394 and 101 that there is alot of open water staked off on the south end which is where the deeper water is I think. Must be either a huge spring in there or its aerated, but I would guess a spring.

I used to live by Gleason lake and would cross country ski on it during the winter - they used to run aerators on the portion of the lake closer to 394. I've seen quite a few people fishing by the bridge in the summer, catching smaller sunnies and northerns - it's pretty shallow and weed choked. I never tried fishing it (summer or winter) It might be closer to get on if you could use the parking lot for the apartment building on the south end of the lake, but I think there's an exit to Minnetonka on that end so there could be some thin ice there too.

I used to park in the lot off of Vicksburg and then walk a bit to the bridge off of Luce line. In the summer, the sunny fishing was excellent. Not a whole lot of size, but plenty of action. I fished it a few time for Northerns as well, but never had any luck.... with the amount of weeds and lillypads, I would imagine there are some lunker bass as well... There is also a powerline by the bridge that is covered w/ hundreds of bobbers and lures smile

it does hold some decent largemouth and pike, I hope the O2 levels hold up

there is a 16 ft hole off in the southern part of the lake. I wonder if that is near the aerators. a family member lives on the lake and I was wondering if it was worth trying out.

White buzz bait that is the key, that's all I am saying. I have lived around there my whole life and our friends have a canoe my best bass out of there is 6.5lbs, don't fish from the bridge it is not worth it.
