This years Sturgeon Excursion will be April 14-17th. Headquarters will be out of Wigwam Resort.

Prices:

Wigwam Resort $30 per person per night, free dock

Wigwam Resort

Wheelers Point $29 per person per night, free dock

Wheelers Point

River Bend Resort $30 per person per night, free dock

River Bend Resort

Schusters Resort $25 per person, free dock

Schusters Resort

Adrian's Resort will be offering a crawler special for us Sturgeon Excursioners.

Pre-order is required and they asked that they are provided at least a week notice.

Flat of Crawlers (approx 500 crawlers)

This sounds great. I called and got our cabin reserved.

This is a great trip and for those who have never attended, please come if you can.

Everyone is very helpful here with others new to the game and one can get into some wonderfful fishing.

Tom's right. It will be our fourth year and I can't wait. Watched my son when he was twelve years old reel in a 54 1/2 inch pig. He's fourteen now and thinks he's a pro grin Hopefully I get to see him pull in a 60 this year. Come on spring! BC

Did you guys get to do any night fishing last year? We never have and always wanted to. Tough for old guys like us to do after putting in a full days worth of wrestling with the dinosaurs. BC

SICK! That's a monster. Wow, I can't wait to show my boy that picture. Appears to be a night caught fish? That's one thing we have wanted to do but have failed to so far. That will be a tough one to beat for sure. BC

Negative. With our BAC levels, it was wise to just park the boat at night. wink

We didn't make reservations yet, will be at Wheelers or Wigwam.

I just read that Ontario outlawed sturgeon fishing. Was anyone crossing over during the get together in past years? If we can't fish in Canada it will save some time in getting remote crossing permits and licenses..

You cannot target Sturgeon in Ontario. I wouldn't waste your time on a RABC for this event and be extra careful about staying on the US side.

Yep, Eric asked me today if I wanted to do something for our 25th anniversary in March or do the sturgeon trip. Can't afford both with the youngest kid graduating this year. I chose the Sturgeon Excursion. All of you can feel free to buy me a drink some time that weekend for putting up with 25 years of wedded, um, bliss, with the boilerguy. I'm sure looking forward to the trip! Last year was my first attempt at catching the monsters, and I got a "baby" 42-incher as my biggest. Can't wait to try again!

I have been practing and I can really float them well now.

1 bag for the peanut races.

Matt, I believe Eric & Justine will be fishing in their boat this year. Maybe some moon lit evening fishing for the love birds. blush
