Shakopee Area

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I live in the north east part of the cities and wanted to come down to the Shakopee area and take my 12 year old nephew out in the evening for some crappie fishing. I don't know the lakes out that way. Any ideas?

Thanks

I would try spring lake by prior lake (the town) for some crappies, otherwise prior lake (the lake) during the day for sunnies. Good Luck!

I agree.. The village of houses on Spring lake is amazing.. Must be 2 miles long of houses 10 feet apart..Not sure if they are catching anything though.. I did pretty good today, but I wasn't anywhere near any of the villages.

Is Spring decent for some walleyes? Any tips on what depth to try in out there? Haven't fished it yet in the winter.
