First-timer looking for advice

I am considering an afternoon/early evening trip to Mille Lacs with my wife and daughter this Sunday. I'd like to find a few perch on the aqua vu and if a walleye happens to wander near by put the vex to work too! I have never ice-fished this lake before, so I'm hoping an experienced angler can point me in the right direction. I assume most resorts will sell a day pass to use a plowed road for a reasonable price, so which resort should I choose? (I'm bringing my own portable fishhouse, so will just need the pass and some fatheads!) I want a simple drive to a spot where I can't get lost, am close enough for the girls to drive back to use a bathroom once or twice, and a suggestion of water depth to try out. I greatly appreciate all advice! Thank you!

Try giving Paul a call at appledorns resort. All the resorts have great roads right now. Although there are some drifts right now you can pretty much go anywhere you want. Paul is great when it comes to families. Should try giving doe island a shot. Bite has been a little slow but being able to move around is the key right now.
