Lost,

Hunter's, Liberty Beach and us have roads going to the flats from the east side. Hunter's Point has the most extensive road system going to the flats.

Good luck and let us know how you do.

Also, from the north end, Red Door has roads to 7 mudflats. From no matter what resort, you can probaly get to any mudflat with a 4x4 SUV or pick-up, road or no road as little snow is out there.

i have a "cabin" in mille lacs islands coop, so im not looking to drive all the way to the north end and then to drive south again to the flats, the resorts on the east side are only a few minutes away. but im getting the shaft on vehicles for the weekend i'm coming up there and will be in a minivan. is offroading possible or is a 4x4 a must?

Was up out of Hunters last weekend and took the roads out to the flats-as has been said the roads go out at least to center bar-not much for activity out there but you can get anywhere with a 4x4-most people were fishing the near shore structure-

Lost, About 3 weeks ago I went out of Lybacks and we took his road to the end. From where Lybacks road ended we broke trail to Macs road where their rentals were. I did it in a Pontiac Vibe. My son and I had to get out and push once and it was a little nerve wracking but we went about a mile and a half through snow without a track to be seen. Would not have dared to stop. This was before the rain and the melt we had. Have not been up for a few weeks now. Gonna try next week. Good luck

I went out of Nitti's on Monday and drove out to the boot flat. Roads were pretty good but did have some drifting. If you stick to the roads your probably OK. Going off road will need 4x4. Not much action, lots of perch on camera but they were tight lipped that day.

Do they head out to Midget or 9 mile?

If you're asking about Red Door, I think they plow to Bombeck, Weimer, Resort, Pantry, Fletcher, Fish House and Eileens flat. I assume they have a map of their roads.
