Latest info on their website says they are changing their policies about the ice. Long melt and cold snap have made favorable ice conditions.

Went to Eelpout also and had a great time. The Walleys were biting, but no pout for me. I did the Polar Pout Plunge and took my wife dancing in the Chase Tent. Great live band. Anyone that didn't go, missed a great weekend!

If you did not go to Eelpout because of the Lake Restrictions you missed a good time. There were less people on the ice than a normal year and more people on land but overall it was fun no matter where you were. Had a great time and everyone that stopped by got free Northern Beer as promised!

Thanks again Scott! It was good seeing ya.

As always eelpout was an absolute blast. The catching was slow for the pout, but great for the walleyes & perch!

Pout was OK this year, no Pout for me, but the Jumbo's were non stop from Friday-Sunday average was from 9-12 inches. It was fun catching them, especially eating them.

Heading up next weekend to chase some of those jumbos, and can't wait! What type of structure were you guys finding them on? I have lots of spots I'd like to try that I've done well on in the past, but am having a hard time deciding which ones to hit first. Sounds like a good time was had by all up there! Thanks.

Thanks Scott. Thats about where we usually find them. I've got my first couple spots picked out. I'll be sure to report back on this site when I get back. Hoping for good weather so I don't need to drag a house along. Good luck.

So how did you do Wiser? Looking to maybe head there for a day this weekend. Where is a good spot to get on the ice? Thanks

I'm actually heading up tomorrow after work and coming back Sunday. I stay at a little shack my dad and a few of his buddies own, so I get on the lake there. Where you get on the lake all depends on the area you want to fish. One of the resorts on Pine Point would probably be a decent bet as its a pretty central location. Others here might have some better ideas.

Good Luck!
