That's the way I had porcupine, the one and only time I had it. It was edible, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it again.

I've eaten anything that either walked or crawled at one point in time. If you go to enough wild game dinner's you'll pretty much run the gambit. I do remember my dad bringing home a skinned beaver when I was young. It was a gift from a native fellow he was doing business with. I remember it tasting alright but my mother still talks about how it stunk up the whole house to this day.

Smoked coon is very tasty. I have eaten many ground rats or squirrels. They are pretty darn good. My mom would fry them up with the chicken.

I only cut off the 4 legs to eat.

Pigeon is better than dove in my opinion. I'm a big fan of wild game feeds and have tried it all; beaver, gator, carp, fox, you name it...if its been trapped or shot, chances are somebody made meat balls out of it and served it up over the years.
