I haven't had a chance to venture to LQP yet this year and am wandering how the ice and snow conditions are? Is there drivable ice, what access points can you drive on and how is getting around, is the snow bad? Thanks!

Was up there with the daughter last weekend went out by Hanthoe's didn't drive out but with a week of cold weather I think the slush on top would be froze up solid enough you could grt out around there. Didn't see much for houses out anywhere though, talked to a guy about dark when we left and he said alot of them pulled off a few days earlier because of the slush. Ice was plenty thick enough though for driving if you wouldn't break through that top crust. Guy went out with his wheeler and flip-over and started breaking thru the top but he made it clear out to the middle before he started having problems. Boyd's only had about 3 or 4 houses out not to far from shore and when we went home a couple of pickups were parked at the landing, must of walked out. Some houses across for there on the east side (could see lights on) but no vehicles on the lake. Just haven't heard much about what's going on up there this year. Sorry this is week old info so take it for what it's worth. Ya and got skunked as well!!

Ran into a guy Friday morning in Dawson that was heading up there. He said he heard the crappies were biting but he didn't say where. I'm guessing the clay banks or eagles nest. I haven't been able to get up there for awhile so I can't tell u any more then that, sorry.

This afternoon I saw some guys driving off the north east corner of the lake off 119. they were parked a ways out from shore but looked to have taken wheelers or sleds another 1/2 mile or so south west.
