Farmington pond on 195th

Recommended Posts

I was told last week from a sales rep that this small lake is kicking out large pannies. Anybody know any thing else about the pond? I did see alot of houses on the pond. E-mail me any info you have. My 9yr old son lives in Farmington, thought was could be a fun spot to take him fishing.

I know you mean well, but for someone to post on a public forum a hot fishing report on a small pond in the metro will almost guarantee that it will be over run and over fished in no time.

i live right down the road from there fished it a few times this summer lots of small panfish no large panfish so your sales rep isnt exactly right but yes it is a nice place to take a kid fishing just for action

My grand kids live right there, 191st. I haven't seen anything out of there hardly bigger than a hook! If there are, leave them for the kids!

If your ideal meal is potato chips harvested from a "drainage pond" then I say have a ball and keep as much as you want! winkcrazy

But dont forget to leave some for the kiddies, after all its a children's fishing pond. Y'know where parents bring their little ones to experience the joy of fishing? However its possible that such ponds will regularly fish kill anyhow and restocked each Spring by DNR's FIN program.

So I wouldnt worry too much about others wanting to keep fish from a drainage pond as long as their doing it legal. Might glow green and a extra leg or two after a meal. smile
