If you had a choice of the available QB's who would it be?

Kolb, I think this would be my first choice, but I think the asking price will be to high.

Vick, No thanks

Webb, Not ready yet. Maybe in a couple years.

Hasselback, maybe a bridge to Webb, or a new rookie this year?

Vince Young, maybe a new system maybe the answer? Doubt it!

A rookie? I dont think beyond Luck, that there is a NFL ready QB in the draft.

Jackson? Wont happen, but probably a better option the Young.

Teebow? Maybe? But I think Webb has about the same upside, and it wont cost us anything.

McNabb? I dont like him, but I think he will be our next QB for 3 years. He is probably the most realistic best option out there.

Am I missing any? Who is your choice? Who do you think wil be the starter next year?

Until there is a new collective bargaining agreement -- which almost no one is expecting for months -- there will be no free agency. Teams will not be allowed to shop for new players, players will not be allowed to sign with new teams and any player movement will be shut down.

Until there is a new agreement, there will be no trades. Washington cannot trade Donovan McNabb or Albert Haynesworth; Denver cannot trade Kyle Orton; no trades of existing contracts will be permitted until a new agreement is signed -- whenever that is.

Until there is a new deal, injured players such as Packers running back Ryan Grant, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams or Jets safety Jim Leonhard cannot rehab at team training facilities. Each is on his own, forced to supervise his own rehabilitation to make sure he is on track for next season.

And should any player working out on his own suffer an injury that prevents him from playing next season, then he we will not be paid for that season. This will affect the way every player trains -- never mind that no one knows when or even if next season will kick off.

There will be a draft, April 28-30. But after Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 6, the draft will be the only way teams can try to improve themselves until there is a new agreement.

The offseason as usual will not exist. The rules are not what they once were. It's hard to imagine it not operating the same way now.

But short of a new collective bargaining agreement that almost no one is expecting anytime soon, it won't.

A new year, and new world, are upon us.

this whole CBA junk is really getting old i think goodell is killing the nfl slowly just like bud selig in the mlb. I think an 18 game schedule is just dumb, i would rather them do 4 preseason games where they don't even try then see 18 regular season games those teams kill themselves enough for 16 games adding 2 more games is just silly. To me its just money hungry people putting there wants ahead of the fans

Kevin Kolb without a doubt. He is saying he wants out of philly if vick is resigned so hopefully he will not be too expensive. I agree that there is not much talent at QB in this draft so will probably have to do something through free agency.

That's it. He has everything that our current QBs have. A pulse, possibly a pacemaker, and he breathes oxygen.

But seriously, I would like to see us get someone like Orton for next year. Then draft someone like Dalton from TCU and try to turn him into our QB of the future and run first and pass second. Kolb would be my first choice, but his price tag is going to be way to high. I would take him if we could trade Hutchinson staight out for him and then start DeGeare(sp?) in his place. Hutch has his best days behind him and it would free up some cap room.

+1. I would like to see Kolb or Orton as veterans and Dalton impressed me the most out of all the q-backs that played in the bowl games. I think Dalton would be a great 2nd round pick and let him sit a year or two behind Orton (preferrably)...Kolb is just going to cost too much in draft picks and/or players.

1st round stick with o-line...Pouncey or Solder...either one would work for me.

Kolb or Orton are our best choices. We need a solid pocket passer to get our offense going..... Adrian and Toby can run the ball for us.

In my opinion Tebow, Young, and Webb are all junk in the NFL. We don't need a running QB. They won't take us anywhere. Vick is the only good running QB I have seen latly, but he only became good when he stopped running as much as he did in Atlanta and decided to focus on throwing the ball.

McNabb is too old. We saw the consequences of signing an old guy the past two years with Favre.... and McNabb certainly doesn't have the talent that Favre did. However, this option is a lot better than putting all our chips on Webb.

And obviously our second priority should be improving our O-line. Not too concerned about our center since you can always have a guard help him out, but we need at least one solid OT. McKinnie and Loadholt are junk.

I have to disagree with you here. Remember how much trouble Sullivan had just gettting the QB the ball the last couple games? He cant pick up the blitz (see farve getting killed in NFC championship game) and DTs get major penetration on him in short yardage downs. And like other Pro Bowl centers in the league I think that Pouncey could become the general of our offensive line (Jeff Saturday or Matt Birk). Even with a double team Suh and Raji are going to give us problems for years to come. I agree that McKinney, especially, blows. I think Loadholt can improve. Those two can be helped by a TE or a RB. I believe with his speed and power that Pouncey is the best lineman in the draft. He can also play guard.

Sully is probably the worst one on the line out of all of them. He's just to undersized and he does have a problem snapping the ball, don't matter how football smart you are when you get pumbled all the time.

One thing to consider, I wonder if Mckinnstain and Loadstink would be better when we get rid of our zone blocking scheme. I think them big beasts get confused and don't move really well in that scheme. Mckinnstain used to be one of the best in the league now he's a stain, player or system?

Frazier did get rid of o-line coach. I think yes the players never adapted to zone blocking scheme. Birk and others were not comfortable with it, but since Chilly was the coach they had to try and adapt. I think if vikes go back to power smashmouth football we could do pretty good with the size we have.

That's because when Lewis was retained as head coach he said his first order of business was keeping Palmer as the Bengals QB.

I'd take him in a heartbeat as long as we draft a qb in the 1st two rounds this year.

The guys on the offensive line don't fit into the zbs mold at all. Man up power blocking is our best option with those guys.

Out quarterback next season. Bomar. Or some washed up scrub, McNapp, who will keep the seat warm until Bomar(sp) is ready.

I had sunday ticket this season, and had TO so I watched alot of Bengals games. Palmer made horrible decisions, but has shown in the past he can be great.

Our line is as bad as the Bengals, if not worse. Plus he had 2 better WR's than we do to throw to. If he came here he would be horrible unless they fix alot of things

He also had his best game without TO and Stinko against a pretty mean defense, I'd rather roll the dice with Palmer then try to go with Orton hears a boo, Junkson, Webb, Hasslebeck, McNub, ect.

I agree on your assessment of Vince Young BUT he might be a good fit for this team if he can keep his head straight.

I think Fischer and him had alot of mind games going on in Tennessee...his record as a starter is pretty decent and Frazier might prove to be a calming influence on the guy.

He would be worth a shot to bring in IMO...if the price was right.

We are talkin about a guy that has 42 career TDs and INTs. I am not willing to go 1 for 1. That is a recipe to lose too many games. He has under 58% completion percentage, and we all know how much baggage this guy has. If the price was a cup full of Gatorade it would be too much. We just got rid of one ego maniac at QB. We sure dont need another.

Leslie picked up Bill Musgrave from Atlanta who helped form Matt Ryan into a young and successful QB, I still think that we will Draft our QB this year and run with it.

I would like to see Locker from Washington or Mallet from Arkansas and lets go for it!

Average age of Quarterbacks in the 2 Championship games is around 27 years of age.

This is a new generation of quarterbacks and we need a long term quarterback, instead of all this 1-2 year wonders.

they need to get a proven veteran or a talented rookie. Flynn and Johnson are no improvement to the roster
