Just wondering if anybody has been out on Murphy? If so, how much ice are we looking at? Is the road plowed around the point yet? Is travel by truck do-able or should I bring the sled? Slush?? Thanks, haven't been up to the cabin yet this year but will be heading up this weekend and want to be prepared.

Well we were there from 1/15-1/22, ice was only about 12-13 inches, 4 of those inches were cloudy white ice. There was a road plowed to the hole on the other side of the point. After that we were on our own. We brought sleds so it wasn't a problem for us getting around. There was a ton of slush, so beware. We basically had to fish different spots every day as our spot the day before would be 6" of water/slush the next day. Things may have changed in the last 3 weeks though, this is just what we encountered. Fishing wise, we did great on the pannies with a couple bonus craps mixed in. Caught a nice bass also which was fun. All fish released to fight again. Good luck!
