Fishing Report - Beacon Harbor

Just got back a day early. Dad and brother had to get back to SD before another storm hits. I arrived Wednesday around 4pm and was greated by a smile with Dean at Beacon Harbor to check into one of their newly remodeled rooms. I had my portable along and Dean let me do some pre fishing in a new spot before my dad showed up with the wheel house. The fishing was phenomenal that first night and the bite remained consistent for us until we had to sadly leave at noon today. frown

We easily caught 40-50 fish per day. Hopefully can post some pics later. Biggest fish was 26 inches and caught several over 17. Best lure was a 1/16 forage minnow jigging spoon on perch glow. My old man did pull out some tiny green jig head with red eyes that he had picked up at Walmart years ago and outfished us during the day deadsticking when the bite was slow. Had to be an inch off the bottom or so.

I echo a previous post, the customer service we received was top notch and we had an awesome time! Can't wait to do it again..

Was out there Wednesday also, were you in the blue clam at the end of the road by the slush? Dean said they only got a couple fish that night. Were right after Hilmans road crossed Deans road in 10fow.
