ann and lucy

anybody been out fishing on ann or lucy yet this year. can u drive out on ann yet. thinkin bout goin out there tom for some tip up fishing.

if you speak of Ann out by Howard Lake - a buddy was out there this week with his brother, only got a small crappie each and some tiny perch - they used the wheeler, but he said the ice appeared to be thick enough to drive on -- only 2 other people on the lake, and they left early - no one was driving on it that he could see.

I thought Ann was catch and release only for northerns?

This Ann lake has a 24"-36" protected slot. I've speared on it. Their is fish in it, that's for sure.

I saw guys catching 26-28" northerns off the dock with sucker minnows on Ann last summer - C&R of course...

I haven't fished either lake in a couple of years but when I did I was out there all the time! Ann has lots of Pike as well as quite a few nice Bass, never did real good in the winter except on tip-ups. Lucy on the other hand, if you get around the point and jig with a spoon and minnow head you can have lots of fun with some pike on rod and reel! Its a blast to watch them come in on the camera and see how fast they hit your spoon! Good luck out there!
