Playoff predictions

They played a great first half.

I would give all his O lineman a huge bonus for the way they give him time to throw.

Atlanta is stinking it up so far.

Well, it looks like an all NFC North championship is inevitable. Goes to show that the east coast bias talkers are wrong again. If I remember correctly, it was Dallas, NYG, Green Bay, Atlanta, NO, and San Fran to be the big 6 at the start of the year.

East coast bias? But, um, there's only one East Coast team among those six. confused

One may have to favor the home teams.

But who knows as a one game play off can turn either way with a turnover.

I'm taking the AFC for the SB champ. I will narow this down when next week is over. wink

Some real interesting footbal yesterday and today!

Extreemly surprised by the jets! Im glad they won so Pitt gets the championship game at home but I almost wanted NE to win just to shut up the Jets! Ryan is one of the biggest toolbags in the league...

Pitt over the jets

GB beats the bears

And GB gets caught up in the lights of the Superbowl and we get a 7th trophy...

Pats looked like they were phoning it in the whole first half, like they were going to win it anyway so why try. I'm thinking the Steelers are going to beat the Jets next weekend. Since the Steelers are my fave AFC team and always have been, I'd be good with that result.

Go Pack!

Man, I've predicted 6 of 8 of the playoff games correctly but am stuck on how to predict Pittsburgh/New York. The Jets have been my darling team throughout the playoffs but I'm going to go with the Steelers here. You've got to hand it to the Jets, reaching the AFC championship game two years in a row, with players at main positions not even at their prime (Sanchez, Shonn Green, etc.).

So I'll predict a Steelers / Packers matchup in the Super Bowl. I'll save that prediction until later though.

Being a huge Vikes fan, this is absolutely the most horrid football season Ive ever had to watch....Not only did my team disapoint everyone from last yrs superbowl run, they failed terribly. To add to the stress of my football viewing I now have to watch the 2 teams I hate the most play each other next weekend...I am anti-Pack and Bears, so who do I cheer for? I'll take any AFC team to win the SuperBowl so I dont have to listen to Packer fans or hear my brother in law Tim brasg about his Bears. For goodness sake I hope the Vikes can get back to where they were last year. One good thing that keeps my mind off this stuff is FISHING!!! Go Walleyes!----but Bears Steelers-Steelers WIN

Actually, I think that I heard Paul Allen say it best this weekend when he stated that this post season hurts the most as a Vikings fans because instead of his Vikings that were supposed to make a Super Bowl run, it's their two biggest rivals competing in the NFC Championship game. I can see how that stings, but so blows the wind when you hang your chances on an aging quarterback.

What's is more accurate, and hurts worse, was the Vikes putting all their eggs in the Childress basket.....HUGE HOLES THERE. Bringing rejects in off Phillies squad time after time, with predictable results. I only saw ONE quality receiver most of the year(Harvin)....and he missed some games also. Personell decisions were HORRENDOUS. The aging QB was NOT the main problem. I fully expect Frazier to make better decisions.

ha they put all of there eggs in the favre basket i think and that was an epic failure this year

Favre was the least of their problems this year. Look what happened to Brady yesterday when a little pressure was put on him...he folded like a tent. Favre faced three times that pressure every game.

I wish I could blame it all on Favre...that would mean we really haven't dug ourselves a hole that will take a few years to dig out of.

I'm a football fan period and really like the way the Packers are playing right now. I am not a big fan of both Mike Martz or Jay Cutler, way too much arrogance on both people. Rex Ryan said it best," you don't have to be the best team all year, just be the best team that day", so we will see who is the best team that day. Should be an extremely physical game.

Talk about problems.................. crazy ....I'm a VIKING FAN. Hate the Packers(or change the a to an e,i,o,u....they all fit), and don't like the Bears. Hate the Je(rk)ts and don't like the Steelers, either. I say we just cancel the rest of this year AND next year also.

If I was an unbiased observer (which I'm NOT),I would believe the Jets and Packers are the 2 best teams, and would be a classic match-up. 5 all-star WRer's against 2 arrogant allstar DB's. One arrogant classless coach (ny)against a quality, good coach (gb). I would root FOR the CLASS TEAM every time, in a BLOW-OUT no less. One team from MY division against the other conference....should be a no-brainer, right??????? The "problems", for me, come from the arrogant fans( on here and in-laws).......who prove to be terrible sportsmen. The REAL WINNERS win(and lose) with humilty and graciousness. IF the Packers can do THAT, I will HATE THEM LESS.....and even ROOT FOR THEM (when they aren't playing the VIKES).....and STOMP THE BAD OUT OF THE JE(ts)RKS......GO GOOD GUYS!

i'm callin it right now, Pack-Steelers superbowl

Aaron Rodgers will be too much for the bears, and the Pack's D is loads better than seattle.

Jets won't be able to run against the Steelers, and Mark Sanchez can't win games on his own.
