MOOSE SIGHTING

Recommended Posts

Headed up Thursday night up 65 and had a moose cross the road about 3-4 miles south of the hwy 27 junction. I thought this to be pretty far south for moose. Is there much of a population around this area or just a rare one?

A guy seen a few near Cromwell this fall and had pics in the hunting section. I hunt near Lawler and hope to see one! That area near 65 and 27 has alot of swamp which is good moose country.

I remember walking around back by "That Dam* Road" a few years ago. There was a new clear cut and we couldn't believe all the moose sign. There's lots of open space west of 65.

My dad almost smacked a huge bull with his little car just after he crossed the bridge on 200 in jacobson heading west.

Last year my cousins ran into a cow moose while tracking a deer they shot, just north of Hill City.

I read an article in the outdoor news several months ago saying it really isn't that unusual for moose to hangout in southern itasca/northern aitkin counties.

You guys serious?  I hunt in that general area and can't imagine it's moose country.  I'm not necessarily doubting you but just seems like it would have to be lost or sick or something.
