Coach Frazier??

stcloudangler hit it right on the head, get rid of Bevell and right away. When your offense looks pathetic to the Lions with what the Lions have to work with versus the Vikings it is time for a change. With that being said what the coaches tell the players to do and what happens on the fiels are two different things.Over the past few years I've never seen better athletes but such poor football players in the league. These players have gotten by on their sheer athletic talent through high school and college but the pro game is an entirely different animal. Maybe some of these veterans on the team will take their offseason workouts seriously instaed of coming into camp in terrible shape both body amd mind.

I don't think we really know what Bevell's offense looks like. We were still running Chilly's offense the last third of the season and he was pretty hand-cuffed by Webb being forced in to action.

The first pink slip I'd hand out would be the offensive line coach. Get a "Tice" like guy in here that will jump all over these guys when they underperform.

If you honestly believe a team will go 6-0 when already mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs, well....

There was no coach from the grave that would have gotten that. There was a significant upgrade in the "try" factor in the last 6 games though. That should be enough to give him a shot. And please, get a new offensive coordinater Lesile.

stcloudanger if this is directed towards me, which it might not have been, but I never thought 6-0 was a possibility because Frazier has never been a head coach. This makes the 3/3 look even better, but to "Crown Him" like some have already in here it sure would have been nice to see 5/1 or even 4/2. Heck Jason Garrett brought the bomb team of Dallas in at 5/3 and is still questionable, or was.

As ridiculous as this may sound to zepman, Frazier is unproven. I find it hilarious that some of those who shout unproven has no place in other aspects of the Vikings are now saying it is ok with the head coach. The unproven has really worked for us in the last two coaches hasn't? Heck, even Burns was brought up. We want to continue this? "Let's See What Happens" tired Hope that was not too ridiculous for you Zep. smirk

Honestly, I don't think anyone "crowned" anyone on here. Frazier IS unproven as a head coach...what's your point. Gruden and Billeck both won Superbowls and both subsequently were fired only a few years later.

I like the fact that he's unproven and what I like even more is that he's been passed over 7 times for a head-coaching position. Les has a chip on his shoulder.

I said in an earlier thread that I think the Vikes should have cleaned house and started over with a whole new staff...I still think that may have been the right move. However, after listening to the players and others around the NFL talk about the amount of respect they all have for Frazier...I'm glad the Vikes are going to give him a chance.

The more I have been learning and hearing about Frazier lately, the more I agree and admit I let the bum season get to me. I think even Bug Grant could have been wound back 40 years and hired as head coach and I still would have found fault. Back to reality and back to looking to high hopes next year for the Vikes. Again. grin

The moves Frazier has been making this week are showing he knows a change is needed. Just a little taste, but I assume many more are on their way.

Yep, you paint a clear picture of the usual here in MN. Like a fish swimming upstream in a dry up creek, the saga pushes on:

2010: Chilly Fired

2011: Frazier Hired as Head Coach. Webb starting OB as Frazier's step-child QB. Full season of play and strong run two games into playoffs, we lose on our third.

2012 Frazier head coaching & Webb starting QB. 3 weeks into the season Webb does not win a game. Frazier bows to media and fan base pressure, benches Webb for some second string lifer who ten years after the fact has found himself trying his hand with Vikings as a back-up. The switch is made, couple wins are had and a couple losses. Some lower body issue causes this QB not to play so Webb is back on the field. Second game of play offs we loose by two points in a fourth quarter close game.

2013: Frazier still head coach and some question about if Webb is starting or not. Webb starts and gets injured two games into the season and the replace back-up to last years back up comes in and takes us to a Div win. but sadly has a "bad" game on game one of the play-offs.

2014: Frazier still head coach and Webb has been the talk after not playing for almost two full seasons. Given the new trend set by Brett Favre in 2009, we find Terry Bradshaw as our starter for the season. We go deep in the playoffs but loose one game before our name is on the World Championship match-up bracket. Bradshaw goes down and surgery is performed during the off season.

2015: Frazier still head coach and Webb is somewhere on the bench. Terry Bradshaw is once again starter and due to a verbal halftime confrontation with a female reporter, Bradshaw is fearing a suspension.Webb is called in and ready to go, but the third string back-up threw a nice pass during pre-season. The fans remember and liked this. They want him, but Frazier would like to stick with the roster. Fans turn on Frazier and he is fired on the spot.

2016: Zigi Wilf trying to hold on to his franchise becomes head coach and hires the third string from the previous year as the starter because he also loved the throw he did the previous season. The Vikings go 0-18 this season. The players lost the the Union battle back in 2011 and were made to play an extra two regulation games per season under the new contract. Wild sells the Vikings after the season end and a new owner starts planning for 2017.

Mean while in 2016, Micheal Vick wins his second Super Bowl ring and the dark cloud that covered him is gone as Hall of Fame talk is had. Vick, during a Bob Costas interview, openly giggles while trying to hold back when the Vikings are brought up.

Never happen Shack.

I have the answer. Shack and Lmitout for the coaching staff as they seem to believe no one is worth it and I would guess they will have all the right answers. 2c

LOLololol HL.

You are right. It will never happen. smile

Again, the one time I side "against" an internal decision of the Vikings. grin

P-isssstttt Eh Tom. I was never really serious about that dude. Just post Vikings blues and venting. Explained it all in my last post right above yours. Bumped the thread to admit I was wrong. wink and a double order of 2c
