Coach Frazier??

The Minneapolis Star and Sickle's Judd Zulgad is reporting that the Wiffs are seriously considering hiring Frazier as the head coach. Seems like he is almost guarenteed the job if we win the Da Toliet tomorrow. I for one, would like to see the guy get a chance. Just his demeanor, attitude and appearance have been much better than the last coaches we have had.

Just think how awful our last couple of coaches have been.

Chilly

Tice

Denny Green

I was hoping for a better draft pick, but I think a good coach will be worth more. I hope we win and F gets the job.

I've got no problem with that.

Wish it wouldnt depend on the Lions though. That would be stupid. I honestly want them to lose the game, get in the top 10 for a pick.

You can't expect a whole lot of change in the system from an Interim Coach that comes in at the end of a season.

Frazier's demeanor is much like Tony Dungy's, something we haven't had in a head coach for a very long time.

The guy is intelligent and knows football.

Can he motivate and lead a team, I definitely think so and tack on a coach players respect.

Exactly right Surface Tension. The players respect the guy and want to try their best to win for him. Also, having a guy that thinks before he speaks and does not say anything to make the players angry will be nice as well.

I am all for Frazier getting the job full time no matter what happens today. He is well spoken and intelligent, which is a nice change of pace.

Yeah with the QB situation, 2 years would probably be best. Highly doutbful we will make play-offs next season with that mess behind center.

5-6 other teams have already passed on him.

That should tell you something.

Fair enough, who then.

Fox, Mangini, Marvin Lewis, Josh McDaniels, and Singletary to name a few that are out there now or will be soon. Sounds like Kubiak is safe in Houston for now.

Of all of those, I wouldn't touch any of them but maybe, maaaaybe Lewis and Fox.

ya i think frazier and web will make a fun team to watch

Dude, Webbs horrible. Overthrow/underthrow. Seen enough and barely into second quarter. Hey, he JUST, and literally JUST as I am typing underthrows by 8 yards and it's intercepted. Please put Ramsey in.

two games a starter does not make, and i will give webb a chance next season, however the vikes still might go for an established quarterback in a trade and webb would be the no. 2. i think frazier gets the job but maby a 2 year deal. i dont think the vike's would want to hire someone for big bucks and not have a season next year and be obligated to pay that salary. frazier will be a head coach next year on this team or another. i think the owners know this and will keep him here. good luck.

That would be real good, go with a list of proven losers. Lewis had absolutely no discipline over his team, and Fox didnt get any farther than Chilly. The only ones that I would consider trying to get other than Frazier would be Billick, Dungy, or possibly Gruden, who is worthless as a commentator.

You wait, I can see Favre coming back (if we actually have an offensive line that can protect someone) or McNabb. Our offensive line needs a major overhauling. I don't care who you put back there as a quarterback, if he gets protection anyone can throw the ball and I will still take Favre.

I was just throwing names out for discussion.

Fox got to the Super Bowl.

I've always thought Gruden would be the best guy for the job....plus it'd save all of us from having to listen to him on MNF. Maybe he could light a fire under these pansy Viking players.

Can we please stop with the Dungy talk once and for all? HE'S NOT COMING HERE.

Even more teams passed on Tony Dungy before he received a chance to be a head coach. Especially today with the rule where they must interview a minority before making a hire, I wouldn't give that a second thought. He'll make a good head coach.

Is it? That was the hubbub during the game but then after nobody would confirm it. I suppose they want to have a formal announcement after they get back to MN.

Webb would be a great #3. Put him in for occasional wildcat plays. Need to trade for a veteran and draft a stud- theres #1&2. If Webb is starter next year, this season will actually look good.

If Webb was the #3 he couldn't take a snap in the wildcat or the starting qb could not return that game.

Someone please send the to The Common Man as an early nominee for Preposterous Statement of 2011.

i dont think anyone projects webb as a starter yet. i think once he gets used to the nfl and gets experience he has the potential as a bonifide starter. like i said, the vikes will trade for a starter but to dissmiss webb as a quarterback this early, with his talents is a mistake. he has shown me in a couple of games that he is a better talent than jackson ever was throughout his time with the vike's. good luck.

There are ways around that. Make him #3 or 4 WR, and #3 emergency QB. Like Camarillo. Bending rules is what the NFL is all about
