i've used gulp many times in the past. it works great when your catching hundreds of perch or little sunnies. i've never had very good luck with it for crappies or big bluegills though. i like using wax worms rather than gulp.

So far this year I have only bought one scoop of minnows and one container of waxies over the past 15-20 fishing trips this ice season. I use the Gulp waxies, minnow head and 1" minnows primarily. Gulp has produced just the same as the people that I am fishing with that use live bait. I also like using Little Atom plastics as well for panfish.

Gulp minnow heads have been very productive this year for eyes on metro lakes.

I know we are talking gulp which I have used before and it works, but my preferred are the ratso lures they seem to work on any size, just have to determine the color and occassionally add a euro for scent.

They stay on the hook better, and catch as many if not more fish. I highly recommend the euro style ones.

I would say for the price it's a fair buy but not great, I started using them last year, and did pretty well, it's something that's always good to have just in case euros and waxies aren't working on finicky fish. If the fish are hot sometimes I'll put some on a ratso or shrimpo, saves money on buying more waxies for my next trip.

I use the Gulp Alive minnow fry. They look like the ratso tails. They have worked great for pannies in the summer and perch and even walleye on Mille Lacs in the winter.

I haven't had much luck until this winter. I've been using red larve with a little tail on them, vertical jig/horizontal gulp and have been catching lots of bluegills and crappies.
