I am leaving Sunday morning at 6am for Park Rapids. I will be up there till the 2nd and will be fishing everyday I am up there. I hope to take some mental notes and post a nice report when I return home.

Same here guys, Heading up to Park Rapids for a few days this week. I'm thinking Fish Hook and Potato are going to be my main options for walleyes the next few days. Maybe Ill see you on the ice Tap, good luck.

Well the trip was pretty successful. Caught lots of fish and drank lots of beer with great friends. We had the best luck targeting gills and crappies, on my buddy's lake. Gills were ranging between 8'' and 10'', and the crappies were 10'' to 12''. Caught a enough for a couple very nice fish fries. We then hit Potato for some eyes, but only managed 2 in 3 trips. We were a little disappointed about that. Caught plenty of pike on tip ups with myself catching a very nice 36 incher. One of the days we headed out to Island Lake to find gills, but just caught pike on tip up. That same day I was using my new solo and midway through a hole, the handle snapped!! I was little upset, but gave Strikemaster a call, and I had a new one the next day! Great customer service!!
