I have a question about the metro area deer. I was wondering it says in the regs book that i can get unlimited permits for antlerless deer is that still after i shoot my main license first or can i get the permits and shoot a doe if one walks by and still keep my main license to shoot a buck later on. The regs book is written so confusing sometimes and its probably me just not picking up on it so some help would be awesome! Thanks!

Minnesota does have the most confusing license system I've seen anywhere.

Yes, you can buy an unlimited number of antlerless permits weather or not you've used your main archery tag or not.

If you've got a spot in the metro, they want you to fill as many tags as possible because access so so extremely limited. Those of us who have a metro spot should feel fortunate to be able to do so.

Donbo is exactly right. You can fill all the bonus tags you want and still keep your main either-sex tag. Most seasons I fill several bonus tags in the metro ans still never use my main license.

Me too. Right off the bat I buy a regular tag and a bonus. My goal is to shoot a doe or a nice buck. When I shoot a doe, I register it and grab another bonus tag (wait 2-3 days), then go out and try for a doe or nice buck. again and again. I am never in a situation to put my regular tag on a doe, I always use a bonus.
