Shoot, shoot, shoot...

Just a reminder for everyone- get out and shoot your bow during the season. I shoot a lot all year long, but it's tough for me to shoot my bow much during the season. I'll occasionally go two or three weeks without shooting an arrow. I shot my bow today over lunch and discovered something was wrong-- I was missing over half-a-foot low at 20 yards. I haven't had time to figure out what the problem is, but at least I know there is a problem. I'd hate to discover the problem when the buck of my dreams is standing broadside at 20 yards.

Just a friendly reminder to all so it doesn't happen to you.

Thanks Scoot, we had the same train of thought as I went home during lunch hour and put 20 arrows in my turkey target in the garage and chowed on a sandwhich in between. Great advice and it could bite you in the butt if we don't keep your muscles conditioned.

Great advice, to many folks practice all summer and put away the target during the season. Shooting regularly can help diagnose form issues, clothing issues and even the possibility or a delaminated limb. The extra few shots taken between outings can also increase your confidence with your shooting skills. Great advice Scoot!

Yup! Went to the indoor range today and was still dialed in at 20, but my 30... not so much! Major adjustment was needed, I was shooting at least 4 inches high! (how this happened I have no clue? confused just paper tuned it prior to season and have hardly been out...)

Now I need to get to the outdoor range and see how off my 40 pin is. eek

I always shoot my bow for a few shots to just check to see that all is good. A bump of the bow from one day to the next can cause issues.

One can get lazy and thats about the time it will happen with a missed or poor shot.
