Any word on the fishing lately on local lakes or rivers ?

Fished Alexander yesterday afternoon and early evening. We found out the water temps are definitely dropping when we pulled the docks and lifts out for the season. Talking w/ some other fishermen @ the landing, the bite was slow. 1 or 2 fish are being caught (Walleye) but no one is hammering them. We boated one fish that measured out @ 23" right before dark.

But with this cooler weather coming in, I think the bite will pick up.

done ok on Shamineau and Fish Trap. lots of small fish with a few nice ones mixed in. Haven't fish Alex much this year, sick of pulling weeds off my line, motor and everything else.

I hear ya, it's been brutal out there most of the year.

Fished Alexander last Thursday night and caught 4 eyes (3 dinks and one nice 16") and 2 pike about 9-10PM ... both pike inhaled the SSR completely and it took some TLC to get them back out without killing those fish. SLots are helpful but I hate letting deep hooked fish go and hoping they don't die... I seldom have deep hooked fish with Cranks but when you do it can be a mess.
