This past winter we used the blue/silver kopper live target lures and just hammered the walleyes. Wondering if anyone tries them during the fall jigging on the river. We plan on coming up this friday-tuesday.

Thanks-Walleyefey

I used them at Pine Falls last week and caught fish. I used a different one than the oine I use in the winter. I think it was a shad.

The Salmo Zipper is more current friendly in that class of vertical jigging lure. You will find they will sneak up current on a subtle jigging motion, and find them easier to keep in view on the sonar.

Light current, the #5 and #6 Salmo Chubby does well.

On either presentation, if you keep an eye on them with a Vexilar, you will dramatically up your catch rate.

Slip jigging the Salmo Zipper is also deadly. Slowly fade back with the current and rip and fallow the Zipper down...wait for the THUD.

Good luck up North...Eh!
