i was up by third river three inches of ice in some spots and slush there walking out and they have some houses out there now.

Started carving the 1st thru 3rd big pike trophy decoys today. So I should have them done by next week to show you guys... I decided on doing 3 different deaks, big-1st,medium-2nd,small deak 3rd we will all have to talk about wether they will be traveling trophies or should I make some for everyone...

From what Ive seen the weather will be in the single digits for awhile so it might be ok...

with 6 inches to a foot of snow on the way may not be very pleasant to the ice.

just looked at the 10 day forecast, NEXT WEEK, highs in the teens and lows in the teens below 0. should make some ice there!

im getting excited for this event. Sometime this week we will finalze everything so everyone knows whats going on.

SO far, laska and myself are going up on Friday am. Not sure yet if central is coming with me or not! Were leaving early so we can be on ice and set up by 12-1

just got off the phone with kim at highbanks, doesnt appear to be as much snow up there as the weather people lead us to believe. she said even though with the wind its hard to tell but maybe a total of 6 inches. bring on da ice!

Laska working 10-12hrs on second shift does put a damper on my fun time so I would get home saturday morning around 5:30 am then sleep then drive and I might get a dhance to spear sunday well I might show up besides it'll only take a minute or two for me to hold my title or I might stop at Mille lads for a GTG that shack is putting on also. just never know might make both for visits on sunday

Gordie, if you wanta come up on Sunday, you can sit with my in my house if you dont wanta bring all your stuff up.

As far as people that are coming up, please take the time to bring stuff along to grill at noon-1 each day. As Merkman will bring all the stuff to get the job done. THe guy is a rock star at packing the right stuff for a GTG. So bring things to grill, along with other stuff. Everyone is incharge of bring there own beverage along as well.

If all goes well, we can have fish fry at night, or whatever everyone wants to do. Im open to ideas as well! But Merk will have the FLAG in the air, and thats where the party is around lunch time! This is what we have done at each GTG, and its worked out very well.

Laska and I are going to be leaving early Friday am to get up there and double check to make sure that everything is in line so when people start showing up, it is all ready to roll and no hiccups.
