Burntside surface temp was 60.7 degrees yesterday. Willing to bet it's currently at 59-58 degrees, or less.

thanks. In the Spring I could find some fish casting spoons in around 25 ft, sharp break shorelines and islands. the water was around 55-57 degrees.... is the same true in the Fall? I have heard they could be just about anywhere in the water column in the Fall. Hoping to try and throw a few flies late next week, wishful thinking?

thanks for the comments always appreciate the info.

Up on Greenwood this weekend. Wind was a howling on Sat, trolled around for a few hrs. Water temp was 57 degrees. Marked fish anywhere from 38 to 60 although most of the marking was around 46-55. No lakers or hits, just a few smallies. Heading back up there for 23-27, weather looks a little calmer (hopefully!). Do you think it would be too early to cast spoons on the shoreline? Prob will drag some spoons and cranks around for a bit until I find some solid marking then switch to vertical jigging. Any other thoughts would be much appreciated!

thanks
