Motorized decoys

Recommended Posts

I read the 2010 waterfowl booklet and it says on page 11 that you can't use motorized decoys starting on the opening day of duck season Oct. 9th. Does this mean that we can use motorized goose decoys for the early Sept. season???

not sure and a call to the DNR is probably in order to answer your question.

I have always heard that geese don't like motorized decoys tho.

I don't use a mojo type decoy, I use a goose-butt decoy that I mounted a small bilge pump and have a turn signal relay in line with the cord so it looks like it is pushing water with it's feet. Makes good ripples in the water when hunting on calm days! And I do use it early goose! grin
