How many wins?

Wow, was the Wolves perimeter defense terrible. My father in law griped about how the Wolves shot well and should have been in the game, but he fails to understand that in the NBA if guys get open looks they hit them. That goes for both teams.

I don't know what Rambis was doing. The substitutions patterns were baffling. The starters came in down about 14 with 8 minutes or so to go and whittled it down to 4, but it was too little too late. This team can't defend anyone. They give up the most opponents points and highest opponents field goal percentage. Their defense is terrible. They love to come down and hit a big shot then turn around and give up layups and open shots...what's the point? Where's the pride?

It was the battle of the 2009 NBA draft busts, Jordan Hill and Johnny Flynn. Two years later and its obvious we would have been better off with Curry, Jennings, Holiday, Teague, Maynor, Lawson, Collison, Douglas, even DeRozoan.

the really sad thing is that we drafted TWO point guards high in the lottery, and it's unlikely that either will ever be a useful player for us, let alone a game-changer.

Great game tonight. 31-21 for K. Love. 30 for Skittles. A career high 47 for Durant. Wolves had the last shot of the game in OT to win but Ridnour's double pump three went wild.

his double pump 3 with over 3 seconds left on the clock and a timeout in our pocket....another showing on why this team is horrible down the stretch when our "veteran" makes rookie mistakes......and who else thought Brewer was going to miss his second FT at the end there.....I know I did!! It was a very fun and entertaining game to watch though!!!

Not really excited about the trade rumors. Minnesota is the third team in the Knicks-Nuggets trade, and as its currently proposed would be the ones getting fleeced:

Quote:
(From ESPN) In the proposed trade, New York would send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota and the Timberwolves would send Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver. Denver would also receive Wilson Chandler from New York.

Randolph is a good player, Curry is a fat stiff, and losing another first round pick when L.A. gets our 2012 pick with no strings attached would set us back yet another year. The deal better get much sweeter for the Wolves. Carmelo will end up in New York one way or another.

I dont know that I hate the deal. Brewer just isnt going to be much more then he is now. Hes got good D, but wont be putting to many points on the board. As for the 1st round pick, dont we have 3 this year? I wouldnt trade away are top pick though, just not worth it, as it just may be are year for the lottery crazy

Randolph I think can fit into this team a lot better then Brewer, and Curry, well, if we get anything from him, its a bonus.

So I see it as a 1st and Brewer for Randolph, werent they considering trading Love for him in preseason? I like the trade thats on the table now better then that.

Although, I do think if we play are cards right, they are desperate, and could sweeten the pot some as well.

I just don't think we should be giving a 1st round pick up in this deal....new york should be adding a 1st round pick in this deal and we should be adding Tolliver to the deal...

It was a nice win for them, the young guys on the team need to have the ego boost of beating better teams on the road. I really think the Wolves are close to being a good team.

If we keep this up, we will knock ourselves out of the lottery. Not that it matters, with their luck!

yeah they played 2 great games in 2 nights on the road with out 3 starters and 4 of there top 5 scorers!!! It has been nice watching Telfair and Ellington have some good games with Tolliver and Pekovic stepping up....hopefully they can go into Indy on Friday and sneak a 3rd road win in a row!!!! Go Wolves!

I heard they would wave Curry and the 1st round pick would be the one Utah owes us from the Jefferson trade. So it's basically getting Anthony Randolph in exchange for Brewer or Flynn and the Utah pick. I still think they need to sweeten the deal.

either way if we are giving up Flynn or Brewer and a 1st for Anthony Randolph we are getting screwed!!!! Brewer and Tolliver or Telfair sounds alot more resonable.........

Sometimes watching the Wolves play, I think they are purposely blowing games, they really cant fall apart in the 4th quarter that often, can they? I can see throwing a few games, in order to stay in the lottery this year, but come on! Its almost like they could be close to a 30 win team this year, if they would play basketball in the 4th quarters!

the sixers game Friday was painful they tie the game up with a chance to win and blow it hardcore i just don't get them

I've had that thought several times this year. To me, this has been a great year (I know that sounds weird): they're definitely developing some individual talent as well as improving as a team, but they're still finding a way to lose games so they'll stay at/near the top of the lottery grin

It's perfect, since they're still a couple players away from being a playoff team anyway. If Kahn hadn't butchered the draft two years ago by drafting three PG in the first round (and getting rid of the only good one!) they would likely be in that dreaded land of 25-30 wins...no hope of being a contender, and less chance of drafting high enough to get an impact player.

And it happens again, up by 10 at the end of the 3rd, and just a few minutes into the 4th, tied game

I dont know, it just depresses me. I will say, they are a fun team to watch now. I just need to shut the tv off at the end of the 3rd quarter. Then not check the final score.

As much as the Wolves give leads up in the 4th quarter all of it is not there fault. The refs are so biased against the Wolves it is just rediculous and last night against the Mavs I swear one ref must have had to over and the other ref must have had the under cause when one made a bad call they would go down the court and we would get a make up call.......I love watching the NBA but they need to fire every ref and start with a fresh bunch as it just seems to rigged!!

Now if they loose tonight, with leading by 23 going into the 4th. Then they are throwing games.

Might not have to wear ear plugs when I mow!      That’s a spendy one.  It wasn’t hard to find one of those for $6k.  Comparatively and Ariens of the same size is $4,200.  A home owner grade JD for $3,900.  You could get into a commercial grade Z700 for maybe $8k.   I think the work I did today with mine would’ve killed that one there.

On the south end...   This year's MN Fishing Opener weekend was not only great weather wise, the walleyes and saugers were caught in good numbers.  A main fish gut hauler working with a number of resorts commented it was one of the most productive opening weekends he has seen based on the amount of fish guts collected after the weekend. The goto presentation was a jig and frozen emerald shiner.  Emerald shiners are a staple in LOW and walleyes love them.  Other minnows worked also, but emerald shiners are a favorite of anglers for good reason.   Four Mile Bay held good walleyes in 12 - 18'.  Not a surprise as the walleye bite on the river during the spring season was good and as of late, sturgeon anglers have been reporting catching walleyes on sturgeon rigs.   The Lighthouse Gap area, Morris Point Gap and just in front of Pine Island held nice fish in 12 - 15'.  Across the south shore, 18 - 22' was holding good numbers as well.  As you can see, there are lots of fish around.     A quarter ounce jig in gold, glow white, pink, orange, chartreuse, or a combo of these colors tipped with a minnow worked well.   As a reminder, the limit of walleyes and saugers is a combined limit of six fish, up to four of the six can be walleyes.  All walleyes between 19.5 - 28.0 inches must be released.  One fish over 28.0 inches can be kept.  The possession limit in MN is one daily limit of fish. On the Rainy River...  Some nice walleyes were caught on the river this weekend, although most anglers hit the lake.  10 - 15' of water was the norm.     Sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River has been excellent.  The catch and release season continues through May 15th and then closes until the keep season starts up again July 1st. Up at the NW Angle...  Some nice walleyes were caught in 18 - 25 feet of water, a little deeper than anticipated.  Points were good as were areas with structure.  The morning and evening bite was best.       As water continues to warm, go to spots for walleyes will be neck down areas, shoreline breaks, points and bays.     The goto presentation was a jig and minnow.

I found this dock wheel floating in Black Bay. If it's yours or you know whom it belongs to, go and grab it.
