and for the record how come when you do your selective copy and pasting you don't finish the job??

how about page 36 of the cutler thread when the bears first pulled the trigger...lets quote what i said!

"glad we didn't get him for that price...i'd rather have sage for a 4th anyday"

quit pretending everyone wanted to sell the farm for cutler and thought he would be awesome for the bears lol....no one wanted him for that price and said the bears overpaid...everyone also said without any weapons and an old defense he wouldn't be that good....unless your a bear fan then you thought it was the greatest.

Obviously the coaching staff has seen enough in T-Smack to keep him around. He must be doing some things in practice that we don’t get to see. He’s mediocre at best and probably is 3rd string in most rosters.

This offseason should be interesting with another tear fest from Favre and more drama than a desperate housewives episode.

I completely agree with this but there are 1 or 2 teams that would probably like him as a starter. Raiders to name 1.

I am very happy we have Favre and that TT and MM pushed Brett out.

I haven't seen enough of T-Jack, our project QB, to know if he's going to be a good one or not.

Of course we have the arm-chair know-it all just_wannabee haters who would have us believe differantly.

I say "Don't believe the simple ones."

Let's just wait and see "The rest of the story on T-Jack while the haters are eating crow on a regular basis to date."

And for those of you classless ones who are name calling our Vikes players, "Go cheer for your packers or lions or bears."

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe we had the opportunity to watch him play a whole season last year. whistle

1. T-Jack reminds me a lot of Antwaan Randle El. A lot of physical ability, but just not cut out for NFL QB. With the right talent at receivers he could possibly excel, but he is not an everyday starter.

Pier, you or I (ok mostly you laugh ) could’ve subbed in there and got a 144 , the SeaChickens mailed it in.

Right now if Farve went down, give me the Rosencopter.

No surprise there.. They'd start anyone at QB as long as they had a good arm and demanded a lot of money.

With Jacksons contract up after this season, I would guess this is Jacksons last year on the Vikings. We have Sage signed for a couple more years, hopefully Favre will unretire again before next season and want to win his 3rd Super Bowl. I would assume we will be hitting the draft, or free agency hard for our QB of the future this spring.

there's a vintage priceless ricky post!!

the junkson haters are eating crow cause he sits on the bench as the junkson believers think he should be a starter LOL

we should go cheer for the packers and lions because we don't like junkson as a starter qb ...your the guy that admits he cheers on the packers and starts packers, lions, and bears offseason threads after i start aN offseason viking thread LMMFAO

SKOL RICKY!!!!

they sure do wink rick

james, like I have said multiple times this offense is ready to go, if you compare the 06,07,08 healthy/not healty squad it is night and day. Kleinsasser is the only one left!!!

You guys should go back to pimping your boy Cutlet, he sure is doing great. I mean he is awesome right? I am sure you will point out how bad his recieving corp is....well guess what it is way better then what TJ had his first couple years.......and being that Cutlet is in his 4th year not his first or second.......

Do you think we have a short memory?? I don't know if the first game was over and you were on here saying "are you starting to see what the offense is all about" after Favre had a "junkson-like" day. You absolutely were claiming that what we have seen the last 6 or 7 weeks wasnt even possible with this offense.

And here we go with Cutler. The only thing i ever said about Cutler was that i am usually not in favor of trading picks but for a 4th year QB who has looked good maybe this might be different. I as well as FG laughed when I saw what the bears gave up for him. I would have never paid that price. Funny you leave this part out. But thats vintage fishin58, either forgetting or neglecting to tell the whole story.

Amen, tr21

not hurt, just tired of it

I love talking football. But when people have to say the same redundant things over and over with no basis it gets old.

No basis? LOL we've all seen junkson play many times, we have plenty of basis.

Although I am not a big fan of Jackson, I would have to disagree that he could not be a starter in this league. Did this team not win 10 games last season with him at the helm? I thought Daunte Culpepper would never be a starter in this league too, but obviously I was proven wrong.

Off the topic but on the day;

thanks to the pack for lettig #4 go away and eventually to the Vikes.

thanks to the pack having no OFF line.

thanks to the bears swapping QB's that both suck

thanks to the pack thinking Rodgers was the heir to Favre,, good luck with that.

thanks to being in the same DIV as the Lions.

and hopefully thanks to the NE beating NO come monday night.

Thanks to a 9-1 season thus far.

Thanks that I don't have season tickets to the T-Wolves.

No Thanks that a hapless 6-6 Gophers Football team gets to play in a bowl. That's a joke.

NO Thanks to the BCS. it sucks.

Rodgers a good QB?? YEs--- the heir to FAvre?? NO WAY.

Rodgers one of the best in the NFL?? NO way

Top tier of QB's-

Manning

Brady

Brees

Favre

Warner

Palmer

Big Ben

E.MAnning

Ryan

Rivers

then Rodgers.

I'd take any of the above over Rodgers any day. When Rodgers beats a good def,, then top 10.

GB flat out let the better QB go. NO ? can be asked when a 40 year old (or any age) has 21 TD and 3 picks. PERIOD.

and for those who care-- GB has more talent at WR than the VIkes,, Favre just makes everyone play better. Driver and Jennings would be the best on the Vikes.

You're out to lunch buddy. For Rodgers to have the numbers he does with the worst oline in football and no running game, makes him all the more better.

My thoughts exactly. That poor b@stard has spent so much time on his back yet he still posts 300+ yds/game. Their O-line is one of the worst in the league. He is one of the best in the league.

I can't say I have seen every game the Pack has played this year but judging by the ones that I did see and all the highlights I've seen, it seems to me that most of the sacks are not the fault of the O-line but of Rodgers holding the ball WAAAAY too long.

He’s mediocre at best and probably is 3RD string in most rosters.

Actually looking at the QB play around the league T-Jack would probably be starting on about 12 teams that I can think of... I'd probably agree about the mediocor at best comment at this point. He's defiantly a project that may not pan out.

He's just a lot better than the High school QB label that a lot of posters have him pegged with and.never mind!

Shamrock Landing and Grubens marina have both sold minnows/bait in past years, not sure about current season
    • SkunkedAgain
I am not aware of anywhere in the west basin to get minnows. Hopefully I am wrong.
    • chucker1101
The only place on the East end (unless i'm mistaken and don't know of some semi-secret place) that sells minnows on the lake is the Casino bait shop on Everett Bay. Whether they have rainbows is hit and miss. I'm not including Timbuktu as East side   Getting off-lake, the best value for rainbow for me over the last 10 years has been Lucky 7 in Virginia.

was up at the lake all week, water temps 65-66 today, and the crappies are now spawning. did not try for walleyes this week, but got my eye on a couple of lakes.

well.........i'll be back up june 10th to the 16th. the 10-11-12th i'll be there by myself!!!!!🤗   i'd even be OK with meeting at a neutral place and go to the lake blindfolded!!!!!!!! 😊🤣   leech...he is over there.........just forgets about us FM  rejects!!!!!!!🤪

On the south end...   Good fishing this week with nice numbers of walleyes and saugers.   A jig and frozen emerald shiner again this week is the go to presentation for walleyes.  Rainbows and fatheads are also working and it is nice to see what the fish want each day.   Various areas across the south shore are holding fish.  Most walleyes and saugers are being caught in 17 - 24' of water.  Anglers are anchoring up and vertical jigging. A quarter ounce jig in gold, glow white, pink, orange, chartreuse, or a combo of these colors tipped with a minnow worked well again.  Pound the bottom, jig it up in the strike zone, hold.  Trying shaking the jig and lifting it off of the bottom.  Any kind of weight will be a fish hanging.  Set the hook! A mixed bag while fishing walleyes include pike, jumbo perch and a few crappies.  On the Rainy River...  Some nice walleyes caught  this week on the river in 10 - 15' of water.  Typical spots such as holes, current breaks, weed edges and rocky areas all can hold fish.  There are 42 miles of navigable waters from the mouth of the river all the way to Birchdale.    Sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River is closed until the keep season starts up again July 1st.   The river holds good numbers of smallmouth bass for those interested in bronzebacks.  A lot of bass are caught by unsuspecting walleye anglers. Up at the NW Angle...  A great week of fishing.  As typical with guests staying at the Angle, some fish MN waters, some slide over into Ontario waters.  Both areas are producing.     Points, neck down areas and bays with warming water have been holding walleyes.  With warming waters, fish are in transition and there are lots of fish.   The goto presentation is a jig and minnow.  Gold, glow white, pink and orange are good colors.

I don't fish any secret lakes. I research the lakes on the DNR website with good walleye numbers. I spent a lot of time learning side imaging. I'll scan for an hour or two if need be to find the fish. Nothing crazy for techniques. Either pitching a jig or back trolling with lindy rigs. If either of you two ever want to go let me know
    • leech~~
Smurfy, you know where that Kettle guy fishes?  Might have to sneak over there! 🤫
    • smurfy
nice fish bud!!!!!!!!👍 i was up last week and we had over 2 inches of rain.........but really helped the lakes!!!!!!!!!!
    • Kettle
So much rain these past few weeks. I only seem to get days off post cold front. Made the most of it recently. Water Temps still in the 50s. Not sure the crappies have even spawned, definitely not the bluegills. Walleye still really shallow
