That is a muskie of a lifetime. Congratulations to him. Wow I would have never guessed they were that big around here!

The interesting thing is that it is his 4th one.Why not get a plastic one.I have my first really big northern on the wall behind me.One was enough.Weighed 25 lbs.

I've since caught larger ones plus lake trout over 40 lbs.No desire to have another one on the wall.

But it is his choice I guess.

Because the fish died?

Ill tell ya one thing... This isnt the 1st or last fish this person will kill. The guys he fishes with keep just about every muskie they catch. Seen them at a local bar last summer and they were bragging about killing 3 muskies that day. The size limit is 48 inches and not one fish they kept that day was 48 inches. Hope they get turned in cuz I know if I see this again I will be calling TIP!!!! Poor little fishes!!!

And about the 6 hours of trying to release is [PoorWordUsage]. Ive logged over 400 muskies and netted atleast that and we have "killed" two fish. When a muskies gonna die it dies, it happens right away not after hours of trying to revive!!!

No....because he could do keep it if he wanted to.Not my cup of tea.But that's me,not him.

The story in the Fargo Forum about this fish did not say anything about trying to get life in the fish for 6 hours.
