Looks like I am gonna go back to watching Matt Guerrier with my hands over my eyes again- just like last season

No our pen stinks. I am pretty sure we do have a couple guys down in little ball that are doing pretty decent. The only guys I don't have a problem with in the pen right now are Mijares and Nathan.

4 man rotation and put baker in the bullpen cause hes pitches great the first few innings before he coughs up leads.

That would be an interesting idea. I am not sure if Baker would accept that though.

Not sure if Baker would accept it? He is under contract and if his boss tells him to work out of the pen, he works out of the pen. I have no reason to believe he wouldnt accept it, from all accounts he is a stand up guy. But that is one of the attitudes that needs to go in professional sports. It is a TEAM game. Players should do whatever is asked of them. Does anybody in the real world get to "not accept" a task from their boss...and if you are self employed, lets make your "boss" your wife! Anybody?

I guess that logic is pretty staunch. But just do not see it happening. We are not going to take our "supposed" stud and place him in the pen.

seems like baker has such a fragile disposition and wonder if that would deplete his confidence even further. it's too bad that they can't just go with a four man rotation like they used to do not all that many days ago. I think they actually could if some team would just do it but baseball has evolved in to 5 man rotations and doubt that will ever change, unless it eventually evolves into 6 man rotations.

Wish the weather was better this weekend. Be on a dock instead of wasting 4 hours watching the Twins implode all weekend.

tomorrow is supposed to be nice, besides the low of 20F in the morning it should warm up to 60 atleast.

It was 29F and 30 mph winds at 9am today and a day of baseball and nascar didnt sound too bad

If our starters were better, our bullpen might also be as they cannot carry the load so often.

no surprise with outcome last two games. twins have beat yanks 3 times in the last 24 games they've played. they seem to become like little leaguers and get intimidated whenever they play the yanks and red sox, expecially on the road.

24 at bats where men were left on base and 25 last night. that's way too many missed opportunities. agree that the bullpen is unreliable and basically terrible but hitters and starting pitching isn't helping out by forcing the bullpen to even come into play in the first place.

this has been a frustrating season so far for twins fans. about the time you think they are going to put it together and start playing consistent, they play horrible and lose a few that they could have just as easily won. not sure what it will take but unless it changes, it's again looking like a typical minnesota sports team season where the goal is simply to make the playoffs but not much realistic chances of them doing anything once there. Geez I hope that isn't the case again.

Chubby just needs to work on his control a bit. Falling behind any hitter 3-0 or 3-1 will continue to get Chubby into trouble. So far I think Chubby has done a pretty good job, other than the occasional times he has fallen behind hitters.

I sure hope something happens to change this bullpen besides sending Crain down. Nathan is the only one worth a dam. Dickey isn't horrible, but I have no confidence in the rest of those turds.

I have actually been satisfied with the bullpen since the series against the Yankees. Dickey has been lights out over the last month. Gurrier has been solid all year. Mijares has been good, but has control issues at times. Nathan has been Nathan. Henn needs to improve his control. No comment on Crain.

turn liriano into a reliever since he is pretty good for an inning or two and give swarzack some more time in the bigs.......

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins have made another move with their bullpen, bringing up Brian Duensing and sending down Sean Henn.

The Twins said Thursday they will recall the left-handed Duensing from Triple-A Rochester before Friday's game against Detroit. The left-handed Henn was assigned to Rochester, where he'd been pitching before his contract was purchased on May 19.

Henn had a 7.15 ERA for the Twins in 14 appearances, walking eight batters in 11 1-3 innings.

Duensing was on Minnesota's opening day roster and made one appearance before being sent back a week later to make room for the return of starting pitcher Scott Baker. Duensing was a third-round draft pick in 2005.

Welcome back Mr. Duensing. I'm realy glad they're finally shaking things up down in the pen. Everyone's been doing a much better job down there lately.

Here's to a big run...bring on the Tigers!
