Lake Mallalieu Fishing Reports

Has anyone ever fished Lake Mallalieu for Bass or Crappie? I am looking to fish there in the next week.

does that lake even have fish? all i see r carps n buffalo's sunning near the surface during the hot dog days of summer. i heard there's quite a bit of perch.

the one in Hudson? I fished it last year, seemed to be over-run with pleasure boaters. Saw some carp and a few bass but that was about it

All the times I've driven past that lake on my way to the croix all I've ever seen is water skiers and jet skis. Sometimes I see some people bobber fishing from shore, so maybe there are some potato chip sunnies in there.

I've caught perch, smallmouth and largemouth bass there. It also has nice sized crappies if you can find 'em.

I don't know about the lake overall, but I caught some nice smallmouth where the Willow river meets the lake.
