Kab Trip May 16

Recommended Posts

We're considering a trip to Kab on May 16. I've done well up there but I've always gone later in the summer. Where do the fish generally move in the spring? Ash River? Further west?

Go west, young man, go west! Tom Cod Bay, Cemetery Is., Grassy's, Bittersweet to name a few. With the colder water temps again this year, they will be shallow. These areas can be goldmines at that time of year.

Yes, go west young man!! Those of us who fish the east mid-May appreciate the lack of fishing pressure and traffic!!!

Hey Fourball...there is a reason the pressure is less on the East end...the fishing isn't as good. Been up there that same weekend for a few years...fishing should be good. I would recommend heading to the west end, the areas Slovene mentioned can all be great. Don't be afraid to try different depths throughout the day, shallow early and late, and deeper mid day.
