Anyone goin to elephant or little johnson?

Anyone going to be chasin the "Big Eyes" on elephant or little johnson on opener? We're just lookin for some company hope to see ya at 1 of these lakes!

I have always talked about getting up to Johnson but never make it. Not opener, but maybe sometime this summer.

Heard there is a decent sized pike or two on Marian.....

I will be up at Elephant May29th - June6. Last year we were there the last week of May and the late ice out and cold weather seemed to have a negitive effect on the walleye and bass.

This year it looks like we are timing it just right.

We have fished this lake as a group for the last 14 years and one member has be going there for the last 40 years. This lake does go thru cycles but for it's size it seems to produce larger then average walleye. The pike population has improved since the special restriction of only one over 40" was put inplace about 4 years ago.
