There's the Mazaska Monster - Google it, it's real!

Seriously, OP - Rice Lake is rumored to have bullheads but nothing else. I don't know of anyone who has actually fished there. It's very shallow and muddy.

Just a few miles north and east of there is a DNR-stocked gravel pit called Naylor's Pond, and you might have better luck there.

The DNR stocked it with sunnies, but when they found out someone had put a couple of other fish in there (walleye, I think), they got mad and didn't stock it anymore. I've caught a few small sunnies there and nothing else.

Im guessing you are talking of the rice lake near sheilds lake, and not the duck hunting lake near montgomery. But there is some crappies in there, i know some guys that have caught a few, not many but they are usually nice ones.
