IS Cuddy worth 7.66 million??

There is no difference, but this is a baseball thread!

And I agree on the beers and popcorn prices. That's why I threw my opinion in the mix.

Of course ballplayers arent worth what they make. Lets rephrase the question: Is Cuddy worth $7.6M with respect to other ballplayers? If you take out the "all ballplayers make too much" part and evaluate Cuddy vs other players what do you come up with??

Still way overpaid in my book. He should be around $2M or $3M.

He was when they wrote the contract.....

I agree, at least relative to what other players make. That said, he better pick it up because an outfielder that don't hit better not play every day if you are going to contend.

Is he in the last year of his contract? If so, I don't see the Twins retaining him if his numbers are down at the end of the season. He is too inconsistent. Or he might be trade bait later in the season.

I believe they are stuck with him and his contract for at least two more years. Maybe we can get mlb to implement a designated fielder position to go along with the designated hitter rule and have him only play defensive but not be allowed to bat.

1 for 13...he broke out of his slump....slumps happen.

Let's visit this when the season ends, then we can judge.

on the other hand, I think he's got a good future ahead of him as the poster child for the need for incentive laden contracts.

Wow 20 games into it and the judge and jury has already reached a verdict. Give it some time boys and girls. Why don't the negative nellies, get a list together and start comparing other 6 Million dollar palyers and see how there doing, so early in the season. Good luck your list, it will be long.

There is a LOT OF 6-7 MILLION DOLLAR players that have not had a good start to the year.

If a player is batting .333,(you all would be happy) he is getting a hit 1/3rd of the time, and getting out 2/3rds.

Time people Time.

Cuddy might be the worst everyday starting RF in baseball

Sadly, the numbers right now say you just might be right.

Sleds been right all along. cuddy has 1 good year under his belt. look at the ball bounce out of his glove last night and results in a triple(learn how to jump) and you Delmon dislikers see him play the ball perfectly off the wall and hold the guy to a single. the numbers are starting to show who should be playing more and not playing because he is a vet.

Its obvious everywhere that the Twins Nation has grown tired of Cuddy and his cemented spot in the line up.

If they had a Cuddy bobblehead day there would be a 40 foot pile of them burning infront of the metrodome

I don't expect the Twins to panic at quite the level you two are based on the small sampling we've had so far.

But stay tuned you guys may be right in the end...

Cuddy is a joke and will continue as the season goes on. Period. The dude doesn't hit in the clutch and is over rated as a fielder.

When you think of the Twins 65mill or so salary, the dude is a waste for being paid nearly 1/9 of it.

CUDDY IS JOKE!!!! Wake up and smell it, Cuddy Stinks.

His signing for the big contract a few years ago is like letting Ortiz go,,, but in this case, were stuck with a stiff.

7.66 million should = 18-23 HR's 80-90RBI's and .280avg.

Cuddy is not that.

well, I'll be the first one to admit that he's played exceptionally well the last week. This is really the kind of production that we need from our 4th highest paid player and I hope he continues to play like he has the last one week rather than how he performed the first four weeks. It sure looks like he's going to be in the lineup every day and this kind of production will go far to quiet the skeptics (myself included) who have said all along that he's been given a much longer leash than others.
