Snow and ice.

Recommended Posts

Ducks and Geese are flying around looking for water. The lake looks just like it did in Jan and feb. snow blowing across adding to the 4-ft. drifts i still have in the yard. With 33-days to go before opening its going to take better than 33-degree days to get the ice off this year. I predict that the ice won't be completly off the lake by May 9th.

So just say there was still anough ice on the lake, could a guy go out and ice fish with two lines again for walleyes?

That brings up a good question...what if a guy is fishing over the side of ice or fishing or trolling on the ice in a wide crack in the ice while standing on the ice, whether in December or any other time...is this still considered ice fishing... confused,

One year just before the walleye fishing was stopped the only open water for fishing was right at the mouth of the Tamarac. Our local CO took his boat out and stood on the ice sheet. grin
