Sled- didn't I win our bet??? Cuddyers played all 3 games so far, DH last night yes, but still played all game (and did pretty good I might add) and Youngs been in once. And stunk it up- time for a new avatar!!!

Ya mean the Jim EDMOND approach, get a late jump on the ball, then show off the slow white boy skills and make a diving catch. Yes he was great at it! But it just seemed to happen every other game!

So where are the Go GO haters, they hiding in there caves now?

WOW. Not only is Delmon putting up an 0 fer at the dish, he just horribly misplayed yet another pop fly. Meanwhile, Matt Garza whom we dealt for this joker is already putting up decent numbers this season. Horrible trade. I hear Cuddyers worse than Young one more time, I am gonna scream. What a chump

Now that we are up to the AS break, and most guys on here have gave up on GOGo already.

Here is a guy most people fall over themselves for, but whom has been playing everyday and not being messed with as far as playing time. This other player is also almost 2 years older.

His stat line

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS

2009 81 331 56 79 20 2 7 33 43 99 31 8 .239 .326 .375 .701

Gomez's 77 187 28 44 11 3 2 18 14 39 7 4 .235 .291 .358 .649

In my opinion the bottom line with Gomez is, HE SHOULDN'T BE IN THE MAJORS YET! He is up here learning the hard way because he can flat out play defense and if we sent him to AAA the public would rant and rave about how we got snowed over with the Santana trade.

He'll come around..... all he has to do is hit .260 and run the ball down in the outfield like he does and that will work for me!

yeah, he either looks completely lost out there, or is on, like he was in the game against the yankees when he robbed the grand slam, and yesterday against the sox when he went on a hitting tear.

he's young, i hope he develops more at the plate and the twins keep him.

Gomez isn't going anywhere. This guy is the real deal. I consider him a top 3...that's right top 3 defensive center fielder in baseball right now. He runs like a horse and his arm has gotten very strong and accurate.

I figured he would struggle in the first half with his bat, but at the end he showed signs that he is due for a breakout 2nd half.

Gardy needs to keep getting him in the lineup while he is hot. Hopefully he can have a strong second half. I really like this guy...give hime 2-3 more years and he will be an all-star.

i completely agree. He's got potential. gold glove defenseman, and a .275 hitter that can bat leadoff.

Can't stand it no more. Balls are hit 40ft over the fence and he's crawling on top like I DON'T KNOW WHAT! HE HAS TAKEN OVER FOR MY LEAST FAVORITE ANNOYING TWIN. IT USED TO BE PUNTO, BUT HE IS HITTING 213 NOW.

GO GO GO AWAY!!!!!!!!

But then that would be admitting that we got a whole lot of nothing from NY for Santana.......

Get rid of this putz, oh wait.... NO ONE WANTS HIM!!!!! I realy hope he is out on the wire right now, mabe someone will claim him laughlaugh

LMAO...Gomez should probably be in triple A right now but the Twins don't have any other options. Give the guy a break, he is only 22 or 23 years old. He is one of the best defensive center fielders in baseball. As he gains more experience he will become a better hitter.

I agree that we should have signed Santana, but that wasn't what happened.

Gomez should be the least of our worries. If the starting pitching was near where it was last year the Twins would be right in the race for first.

Agreed. You need not look any further than the bullpen if you want to see why the twins suck.

I will feel better about him once he learns to toss the ball in from center without the Hop, Skip, and Jump thing he does.

Step --> throw, it's not hard, don't dance around like an [PoorWordUsage], just step and throw.

AND STOP MAKING OUT WITH YOUR BAT!!!! I find that very distracting as well.

I'd rather have him learn in the Majors then AAA. I never did understand why or who we would replace him with while he's down in the minors. What would minors do to help him versus the Big club?

He is in his own little world thats for sure...

Been out couple times this last week. Between the rain and wind there really was only one day this past week where it was actually warm out fishing.  Water temps are low mid 50s yet, not much change from last week.  Fish are still holding out off the first break on some area lakes and right up in the boat channels and back bays of others.   Been keeping it pretty simple as far as tackle used. Having the best luck with the lil hustler tubes under a small float or throwing the Bobby Garland baby shads with a 1/32 jig head.  The Bobby's have definitely been my big fish catcher this spring.

The water looks low but appears to be on the rise. We will be there  the week after opener. I have been going since 1981 and enjoying the experience. We love the variety of fish we catch and release each year. Ice went out a bit earlier than in years past. Water may be warmer and plan to target some crappies. We fish predominately in Sand Point as we camp. Good luck all and tight lines. We may consider the hike to Lake Lucille which we did 2 years ago.

thats great to hear regarding the lake levels!!!!!!

On an off light precipitation today. Hoping the weather this weekend will be nice so I can get out and crappie fish and check the weather. My yard has standing water and the driveway is a mess. Lot of lakes are near standard water levels which is good. Heard they are done stripping eggs on cut foot. Shaping up to be a good opener. Last year fished open water 60+ days and 28 different lakes. Hopefully bump both those numbers up this year

I don't think its 100% accurate, you are just relying on other average joes to report precipitation. But I think most numbers there are right in the ball park, especially when you see consistency among multiple reports in a general area.   It's probably more accurate than what the weather terrorists say on the news  which usually only reports metro areas. cocorahs is good for getting rural area reports you just might not have as many reports to go off of

Thanks Mike.  I've been looking at bags of it for years but never wanted to chance wasting good meat on it.  I have a gas and charcoal grills, but really love the flavor of charcoal over gas. Most of the time it's if we have time to use one or the other.
