North long merifield - can we still get out there?

Trying to enjoy the sunshine & some sunnies, but not sure if we can make it out on the ice. If not there, where should we go?

i was just over at the merrifield landing they are still driving out i think there must be a pretty good bite cuz there where alot of people out there for the middle of the week on a afternoon

I haven't been able to get over to check it out. But I would think the ice is starting to Honeycomb quite well. Please use caution!

I fished 8 lakes in the last 3 days and I only found 1 I couldnt drive on.North Long was ok to drive on Thursday,the bite was pretty good,the hoards of tailpipers were crazy! Pepole were actually fishing holes I drilled before I was done drilling.What do you do in that situation?I had a long day at work and couldnt hold it in.Sorry to those fellas,but they did get the holes I drilled.There are as good if not better options close by without the crowds.The small lakes always heat up first this time of year.
