Last I heard he was still in town. Also, the Vikings are very confident a deal is going to happen soon.

Let's just hope he stays in town. Tampa has lot's of $$$ to throw around this off-season.

if he wants to win he'd come here...the bengals and seahawks aren't going anywhere for awhile....seattle is rebuilding and the only thing he has to look forward to in cincy is palmer comes back this season....you'd think at tj's age he'd be hoping he gets on a team that might have a good shot within the next couple years.

The pioneer press has an article stating the Vikings are intent on not letting TJ leave without signing.

LOL GREAT....now reports say tj might wait until tomorrow to make a decision.

vikes are working hard to lock him up and not let him leave without signing though.

its basically either us or the bengals right now....does he want to stick it out with carson palmer coming back and where him and his family is most comfortable or does he want a new start on a team that is ready to make a run? hopefully him and his family like MN.

That is exactly the decision he has to make. Sounds like we won't know anything until tomorrow (per Sean Jensen). Let's hope there's a noon press conference scheduled at Winter Park.

That's how Belichick works. Spite. He would try to stick it to any of his coaches that left him for another team. Think of the leverage he COULD have had with that #12 pick. Like the article said, if he didn't want to pay the #12 pick, he could always trade down and pick up multiple picks in say rounds two through four. Just as bad on KC's part for not having a deal done with Casell BEFORE the trade.

Is Cutler's health an issue? I know its under control, but stuff could happen, right?

I think he's fine Sled. They/he can control this pretty effectively now. Let's take a run at him too. Think he'd be interested in playing with the Vikes with AP in the backfield and TJ (let's hope) and Berrian to throw to. Never say never.

i would never say never but i'd say it's highly unlikely denver would trade cutler...i think the media is making it to be a bigger deal then it really was like normal.

but cutler got wind that they were entertaining the idea and is pretty mad about it...it would be funny if he demanded a trade now lol....i was hoping we would make moves to draft cutler that year.

I think alot of KC not inking him to a deal right away is the fact everyone is 50/50 on him. What if he is a flop? What if he is a stud? They might sign him after a few games, when they can see what they have.

Just read a post from 20 min ago on ESPN that TJ is still in town this morning and they also said that this is the most likely of landing spots for TJ. Let's get this guy signed this morning!!!!!

Updating a previous item, T.J. Houshmandzadeh left Minnesota last night and flew home to Los Angeles.

There goes the Vikes' momentum. Letting Housh get out of town without a contract likely means they are no longer the front-runner to get him signed. The Bengals, Vikes, and Seahawks are the three teams in the derby right now.

He flew home last night. I would say his chances of signing with the Vikes are slim right now. Hope they didn't low-ball him with a contract offer in hopes he would sign with a play-off team. It's all about the money...he has said it from the beginning of FA.

It's been widely reported that the Vikes have the lowest offer on the table. Figures...they low-balled him. Hope they give him what he wants to get him here.

yup they say we offered 2 mill less then the seahawks and a couple years less then the bengals...they want to lock him for 5yrs which means he'd retire a bengal...we are offereing a 3 yr.

if you read tj's notes it says the bengals are the front runner for coles as anticipation of losing tj.

someone should tell him to read that so he gets mad they are trying to replace him before he even made a decision lol

Might not have to wear ear plugs when I mow!      That’s a spendy one.  It wasn’t hard to find one of those for $6k.  Comparatively and Ariens of the same size is $4,200.  A home owner grade JD for $3,900.  You could get into a commercial grade Z700 for maybe $8k.   I think the work I did today with mine would’ve killed that one there.

On the south end...   This year's MN Fishing Opener weekend was not only great weather wise, the walleyes and saugers were caught in good numbers.  A main fish gut hauler working with a number of resorts commented it was one of the most productive opening weekends he has seen based on the amount of fish guts collected after the weekend. The goto presentation was a jig and frozen emerald shiner.  Emerald shiners are a staple in LOW and walleyes love them.  Other minnows worked also, but emerald shiners are a favorite of anglers for good reason.   Four Mile Bay held good walleyes in 12 - 18'.  Not a surprise as the walleye bite on the river during the spring season was good and as of late, sturgeon anglers have been reporting catching walleyes on sturgeon rigs.   The Lighthouse Gap area, Morris Point Gap and just in front of Pine Island held nice fish in 12 - 15'.  Across the south shore, 18 - 22' was holding good numbers as well.  As you can see, there are lots of fish around.     A quarter ounce jig in gold, glow white, pink, orange, chartreuse, or a combo of these colors tipped with a minnow worked well.   As a reminder, the limit of walleyes and saugers is a combined limit of six fish, up to four of the six can be walleyes.  All walleyes between 19.5 - 28.0 inches must be released.  One fish over 28.0 inches can be kept.  The possession limit in MN is one daily limit of fish. On the Rainy River...  Some nice walleyes were caught on the river this weekend, although most anglers hit the lake.  10 - 15' of water was the norm.     Sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River has been excellent.  The catch and release season continues through May 15th and then closes until the keep season starts up again July 1st. Up at the NW Angle...  Some nice walleyes were caught in 18 - 25 feet of water, a little deeper than anticipated.  Points were good as were areas with structure.  The morning and evening bite was best.       As water continues to warm, go to spots for walleyes will be neck down areas, shoreline breaks, points and bays.     The goto presentation was a jig and minnow.

I found this dock wheel floating in Black Bay. If it's yours or you know whom it belongs to, go and grab it.
