2008 Green Bay Packers

We have to get Windy going, boys. A Chicago person talking up the Packers is pretty sad.

He obviously knows a first class organization we he sees one. 7.gif

were are all the packer fans lately?????

Were here, sifting thru the drivel, getting ice fishing tackle organized and chuckling at the fact the for one breif moment in time, the purple crowd will get a very small taste of success by (possibly)winning a division thats very weak this season by dethroning the youngest (read least experienced) team in the NFL and make it into the playoffs to a wildcard game. Ahh yes, it will be as a division winner, but yet its still a wildcard game.

All this glory will provide you with one weekend of "playoff madness" to talk about, puff up your chests, bad mouth us Packerfans but then alas, come home whippped, empty handed and facing a tougher schedule next year, and a lower draft pick and STILL no championship to show for it.

You guys in purple don't SERIOUSLY think your gonna WIN the next 5 straight do you?

Its called the LOMBARDI trophy, its about 3 feet tall, sterling silver triangular base with a football on top. Has your teams name and the year you win it engraved below the NFL logo. Looks great in a trophy case. Has these wonderfuly gaudy and overly embelished rings that go along with it. The rings they hand out to every player on the team.....Hahahahahahahaha

Wade,

Do you think we didn't have to listen to the same drivel last year and deal with the Packer fans "lifting their leg", as snooze so eloquently put it? Don't get high and mighty on us as if the Packer fans are all gracious in their success.

Second, that young and inexperienced team you are defending is primarily the same 13-3 team that went to the NFC Championship last season (minus Favre, plus Rodgers), except they are one year older with a playoff run under their belts. I don't think the their being young rationalization is much of an excuse since the even younger version already did it.

I have seen Lambeau, its fans and the green and gold groupies get all lathered up over a meaningless game in September. I have watched them go nuts backing into the playoffs, with no chance to go anywhere, because the Vikes lost to Arizona on the last play of the season and you want to tell us we should not care because you and the packer faithful would only get revved up for a Super Bowl. What a crock of [PoorWordUsage]. Get off your high horse.

Exactly!

The Pack is in my rear view mirror right now so I got to use them to bash the Queens, that's who we are chasing right now!

Any port in a storm boys, any port in a storm! LOL

Let's all pay attention now, if the Packers win out, which means they will beat the Bears "AGAIN" so the Packers have the tie breaker and Queens lose all their games, who wins the division?? work with me people, work with me!! wink

IF IF!! With all the slinging going on in here, one would think there was going to be a Packer, Vikings game on! Or that there was going to be 2 teams fighting for a playoff spot wink

Go Vikes!

And how does that pertain to the Packers? I realize it was a well thought out post (for a Vikings fan) but try to stay on topic, okay?

It pertains to the Packers because if the Vikings win, the Packers are eliminated from any chance of getting into the playoffs!

The Packers aren't "bad" the bounces didn't go their way! Now if you want to talk about bad, look no further than the Lions...

I predict an NFC North first round playoff loss to any opponent they face. This division is weak this year. Whether you're a packer-backer or a vi-queen, it will be uneventful and finished soon.

I'll be cheering for draft picks, go Jets!

My dad had a stroke and is in the Mayo. I haven't really been thinking about the NFC North very much, just praying my dad gets well soon.

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!

I agree on the choices.   I didn't mean to say that a battery auger was better or greener or whatever.  I could care less about that.   It just seems that "most" ice anglers have made a switch to a battery auger in recent years.  That's all I was saying.  I know about a dozen people who regularly ice fish and they all have battery augers now.  I bet if you conducted a survey of all ice anglers, the majority would answer that they use a battery powered auger.
