This Saturday I want to take the wife, kids (ages 3 and 1 and a half), and a foreign exchange student from Brazil who has not ever gone fishing up to Lake Washington, German, or Jefferson to catch some panfish, or basically anything to keep their interest.

So is anything going on at these lakes. Lake Washington (by the grass island, or second or third point.

I will stop at the baitshop in Madison Lake to get the latest scoop, so any info will be appreciated.

Thanks

If nobody else speaks up and your not stuck on those 3 lakes, I might be able to point you in the right direction? Shoot me an email [email protected]

Checking things out at Reel Fishing Outfitters in Madison lake would be a good plan. Personally myself, I would stay away from Washington for numerous reasons.

German has been pretty good this year. Madison is going pretty strong for crappies with an occasional walleye. If you've got a good graph you might run into a few schools. 6-12 feet, near breaks, and the occasional weedline is always good.

Jefferson has been a little spotty without too much for size.

Washington is becoming a tougher gig for bluegills, although there still are some 8+"ers. Nice group of crappies moving through, but haven't been out there to say if they're catchable. I know I'll be looking for those this winter.

Reel Fishing will point you in the right direction.

Geez, you guys are like NASCAR drivers with all your product endorsement. LOL

Now where should I check for fishing information? Hmmm.

Just yanking your chain - it's a nice shop, that's for sure.

They give out pretty accurate information for the local bite.

I managed to put together a nice afternoon and evening of fishing together today but it didn't come without some searching. I fished 5 spots and nothing happening until spot #5. I ended up catching a substantial amount of crappie with some 'eyes mixed pitching plastic parallel to a gravel to mud transition in 9 - 12' of water. If I threw towards shore and came across the transition, nothing. The pitch had to be parallel. Anyone remember a seminar talking about fish taking a certain path?

I ran in to the same instace yesterday while I was fishing for bass I was catching some beatiful eyes casting parallel to the what was left of a weedline I snapped a couple pics on my phone, but I don't now how to get them here!

Just send them to me at 952-201-5029 and I will be able to help you out.

Lucky Crank - if your phone and PC have bluetooth capability - you can synch them and get the pix off that way.

Yes, but does the shore go all the way down to the water?

Posted

The water level is normal or average. it's not low at all! westwood was dredged a few years so no problem launching a big boat!

Posted

they just re- black topped the squirel nest road a few weeks ago and it goes all the way to the launch and i think they mihg tof did the parking lot again?

Posted

Yes it does go all the way down to the water if it does not we are in serious trouble.

That and TO won't need that in fancy new float suit.

I'm having a little trouble tying water levels to myself in Arctic Armor. You'll have to clarify FB.

Sorry To just a little humor to JD if the water does not go up to shore the lake must be dry.

I saw your deal on the actic suite in the Free Press sounds like a must have item for ice fishing and waterfowling

I was wondering if I might get your attention.

Are they gortex do they have liners and how warm are they.

I guess if the lake was dry you won't need to float in one is what I meant no harm done I hope.

FB.

JD I was on Washington one day last week and the lake is low like normal for fall. I did not use the North landing but I would guess it is real shallow.
