Got a call earlier from a buddy whom took his boy for some crappie or sunnies, whatever would bite on crawlers, and happened to come across a family that had a bucket full of eyes. He approached them,(incidently outnumbered), and asked if they knew that that wasn't OK. A little girl became their advocate claiming they were "saving them to show their uncle". I don't know but I'm pretty sure IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!!! I'd suggested he'd called TIP but after confrontation they'd split shortly after plus buddy didn't have phone. I'd like to suggest we all become a little proactive and pay close attention to what's happening around us. I know for the most part that that goes without saying, just more or less a 'Head's Up' I guess. Thanx!

Unfortunately this happens. TIP should be called if you have a phone on you. It's really about all you can do. If you know the number of the local CO you can bypass TIP.

Yep- they can show their uncle right after their court date. No, wait- the DNR confiscates them as evidence. I really hate hearing stories like this, and the absolute worst part is it sounds like they had little kids with them, what a horrible way of teaching them. Hope they get caught.

Actually in cases like this I wouldn't waste my time with TIP. TIP only works for bigger ongoing things where there is a lot of time to investigate due to the delay. Call the local sheriff's office and ask them to come right away and to contact the local CO. Nice lesson these bozos are teaching their kids...
