Right now we're renewing the "Eagle Eye" picture every five minutes. We don't have the bandwidth yet to do streaming video but as the ice breaks up we'll try to push you a picture every minute.

the surface of the ice changed a lot today.

I noticed a ring around the end of the dock this morning, it looks almost as someone drilled holes. Anyone know what it is?

I do not know for sure, but my guess is that since it is a crib dock, they probably drilled holes around the dock to speed up the deicing process in an attempt to minimize the risk of ice out damage to the dock. You can email Rick at the website to ask him directly.

I just looked at the eagle eye. Looks as if there is water on the lens and the ice is starting to turn black. Hopefully a good sign. Rain should help open up the ice for the opener.

looks like all the ice is at the other end of the bay, or gone...nice!!

looks like the dock is underwater though...not good.

decided today to delay the trip up for 2 weeks...between the dock and lift issues...poor bait availability...etc...

no whining...just a tough year to get things going!!!!!
