COLD WATER

I tried the sawmill and hiniker pond today with no success. The water is still very cold to the touch. I observed jefferson, frances, and madison and all of them still had ice (mostly covered).

Tomorrow 70 degrees and windy great can opener for the area lakes

I drove by Loon Lake and Clear Lake today and they looked like they were still fishable through the ice.

YOu could end up trolling if you went ice fishing today.. The good thing is you would cover a lot of water!

No, I'm good but I'll tell you what, Clear Lake looked tempting, while Loon Lake was pretty broken up and wide open in some areas. But you don't have to tell me that the conditions can change by the minute, so by no means was I saying someone should give it a shot. However, a ladder would have gotten you to walkable ice on Clear.
